The Rev. Frederick Ross Evans officl sled at the eight o'clock can dlelight ceremony attended by 250 relatives and friends. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Pea cock, 65 Winema Way. Mr. Sevcik's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Sevcik, 26 Wil lamette avenue. Mr. Peacock gave his daughter in marriage. Miss Joyce Hunter played the organ wedding music and accompanied Larry Smith, soloist. Pink1 and white peo nies decorated the church for the ceremony. The bride wore a nylon lace over satin gown fashioned with fitted bodice and long sleeves. The skirt was . gath ered and a satin sash tied in back. Her waist length veil was held by a crown of seed pearls, and she carried a cas cade bouquet of pink baby roses and stepwanoiiis en circling a white orchid. Miss Linda Beach, Coos Bay, was honor attendant for her cousin. Attending the shower were 4-H members Alice and Jen nie Kuitert, Susan Head, Shar on P'owell, Judy Drake, Alicia Elmore, Sally and Mary Harriott, Mary, Cathy and Lenna PU'trc, Linda Pittock Adrianne Brion, Dian Brew ster, Maryln Winningham and Marion Hamlin. Leaders attending were Mrs. Forrest Drake, Mrs. Vlr fill Prowell, Mrs. Eugene Krouse, Mrs. Francis Krouse and Mrs. Charles Elmore. Others attending were Mrs Henry Head, Mrs. Karl Her- riott, Mrs. Kuitert, Mrs. Clay Jirion, Mrs. Marvin Brewster, Allison Brion, Nancy Head and Beth Krouse, Mrs. Brion and Mrs. Brew flor assisted with the games and the 4-H leaders and ua Jor leaders served refresh' moots. The tables were decorated with peonies and roses. Wash., and brldesmatron was Mrs. Curtis Shomate. Miss Beach wore a pale pink frock tied with a satin sash. The other attendants' dresses were of ice blue. They all carried cascade bouquets of Ester Reed daisies. Seven-year-old Debra Rig- gert and Kelly Leo Peacock brother of the bride, were ring bearers. Debra wore an ice blue frock with baby pink rosebud corsage. Brent H. Carter, Corvallis, served as best man. Seating the guests were Richard Pea cock, brother of the bride, Richard Werner, and Jim Sev cik, brothet of the bride For her daughter's wedding and reception which followed Mrs. Peacock wore an aqua' marine brocade sheath with matching chiffon overskirt. Her accessories were white and she had a pink orchid cor sage. Mrs. Sevcik chose a beige lace dress with match ing accessories and a yellow orchid corsage. Mrs. Carl Beach, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Paul Andrews, aunt of the bridegroom, cut and served the wedding cake at the reception held at the church, Mrs. Harold Olsen, aunt of the bridegroom, pre sided at the punch bowl, and Mrs. Brent Carter poured the coffee. Miss Linda Hertager was In charge of the guest book. Miss Mary Barbara Beach and Miss M a x 1 n e Dinner Honors Unity Minister More than 100 persons at tended a barbecue dinner Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl C. Moore, 26 Hawthorne ave nue, In honor of the Rev. Katharine Bosworth, minister of Medford Unity Center. The event was one of two social functions held recently honoring Mrs. Bosworth, who will leave. June 7 to attend the minister's conference at Lee's Summit, Mo. The event was held in the yard at the Moore home. As sisting the host and hostess were Mrs. Virginia Greene, Dr. and Mrs. EP N. She is a teller for the Jackson County Federal Savings and Loan association. Mr. Sevcik attended Medford High school and Oregon State college. ' 1 Ceremony At Home Weds Pair Central Point Mr. and Mrs. David Lee Robinson are makine their home at 2615 Tennessee drive, Medford, fol lowing their wedding May 12 In Central Point. The Rev. Henry A. Holsinger, Rogue River, officiated at the 7:30 o'clock evening rites attended by close friends and relatives of the couple. The bride is the former Priscilla Ann Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur M Baker. Route 1, Box 436, Cen tral Point, at whose home the wedding was held. Mr. Robin son's parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Robinson, Route 1, box 478. Central Point. The bride wore a white linen dress with lavender car nation corsage. Mr. Baker gave his daughter in marriage. Mrs. J. E. Belter, sister or the bride, was matron of honor. Donald Robinson, Med ford. brother of the bride groom, served as best man. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Baker homo. Luncheon Given for Travelers Mrs. Robert Miksche was hostess for a luncheon Satur day which honored her sister, Mrs. Almus Pruitt, and three other valley women who leave soon to spend six months traveling in the British isles and on the continent. Mr. and Mrs. Pruitt, with Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Allen Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Mil ler, Medford, and Mr. and Mrs. Angus Bowmer, Ash land, made up the group. Luncheon guests, in addi tion to the four travelers, were Mrs. Ted Hornecker and Mrs. Frank Lewis, also sisters of the hostess and Mrs. Pruitt, Mrs. gichard D. Werner, Mrs. V. H. Fluhrer and Mrs. J8hn McCabe. Mrs. Fluhrer has traveled aboard frequently in recent years, and not long ago rs. McCabe made a round-the-world tour. The Prititts leave June 8 to travel by train and plane to Washington, D.C., and New York City. In New York they will meet the Bowmers and the tiro couples will tour the Hev England states and a por tion of Canada. Because Mr. owner is producing director f the Oregon Shakespearean festival, Ahlami, and Mrs. Pruitt is a former festival act ress, the four aro looking for ward with periocular interest to attending nsrfermancee at other festival theaters. The Bowmees, who plan to travel east through Canada, will attend erfcrmancec at the SJukeapearee theater in Stratford, Ontario, on the way. After matting, the four will see three ptrformencee at the Steatfefd, Conn., the ater. June X the Bowmers and Fruits sail e the Liberte for England. While in England they will visit Stratford-on-Avon and have tickets for "Two Gentlemen of Verona," "M erchants of Venice," "Taming of the Shrew," 'Tro ilus and Cresslda" and "Twelfth Night," to be play ed by the Old Vic company. The Aliens and Millers are sailing from Son Francisco June li on the Villager, a Ssaadinavian freighter, and will join the other two coupios in Germany. In that country trre travelers will take delivery of a Velkswagen bus and will tour Europe as a group. f Brether Visite Gold Hill-Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Baxter (Brainerd photo) State Officers To Be Guests Medford chapter of the Gold Star Mothers will enter tain the department of Ore gon presidents, Mrs. Leona Baker, Springfield, and the department hospital chair man, Mrs. Celia Everett, Port land, at a meeting Tuesday, June 7. A potluck luncheon will be served at Hawthorne park, at the northwest corner off East Jackson street, at 12 o'clock. Following luncheon the VAVS representative, Mrs. Victor Eakin, will take the women to visit the Veterans Administration domiciliary at Camp White. Mothers attending the meet ing are to take a covered dish and table service. Mrs. Wilma S. Anderson Is president of the Medford chapter. Travelers Sail On Greek Ship Miss Jean Cardona, 224 Saginaw drive, left Tuesday for San Francisco where she met her cousin, Miss Sheila O'Sullivan. The two young women flew to Montreal, Can ada en route to Cobb, Ireland. In Montreal the girls sailed abroad the Greek ship Arca dia. They plan to tour Eng land, Scotland, Wales and Ireland and return to Med ford about July 15, leaving on Irish Airlines from Shan non airport. Baxter -Hawks Ceremony Held at Parents7 Home Shady Cove Miss Patrecia Caroline Hawks became the bride of Gregory W. Baxter in a ceremony Tuesday, May 31, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max J. Hawks, Rogue River drive, Shady Cove. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Mae E. Bax ter, 702 Belmont street, Med ford. 1 The Rev. D. E. Millard per formed the wedding service before an arch of roses and azaleas on the lawn of the home. Approximately 123 guests attended the 7 o'clock evening ceremony. The bride wore a princess- style gown of pink lace xiver taffeta with white accessories and a bouquet of pink rose buds and white carnations. Mr. Hawks gave his daugh ter in marriage. Miss Sandra Hawks, who was maid of honor for her sis ter, wore a goWn of light blue dotted Swiss over taffeta. Her bouquet was also of pink rose buds and white carnations. John G. Uerlings, Medford, was best man and Max Hawks. Jr., brother of the bride, seat ed the guests Mrs. James L. Hopkins played the organ music for the double ring rites. Mrs. Hawks wore a pink afternoon dress with white accessories and a white rose bud corsage. The bride groom's mother chose a dress of black and white figured shantung and a corsage of white rosebuds. A reception followed the ceremony. Mrs. Carl Hanson cut the cake and Mrs. Orville Stone, sister of the bride, White City, poured punch. Mrs. Joseph Waltz had charge of the guest book and Mrs. DOlph Larson and Miss Eda Larson were in charge of gifts. . The bride was born in Cen tral Point and attended Cen tral Point and Eagle Point schools. She was graduated in 1955 from Eagle Point High school and has been em ployed at Fluhrer's bakery the past five years. Mr. Baxter was graduated from Newport Beach, Calif., High school in 1954. He at tended Oregon State college for two years and has been In Medford with the Oregon State Police the past year. The newlyweds will make their home in Medford at 1556 Kenyon itreet, following a trip to southern California. For traveling the bride wore a navy blue silk suit. 1 Dinner Given Central Point - Harold Al len was honored recently at a birthday supper given at his home by his wife.
