Given in marriage b7 her father, the bride wore a white ; lace over taffeta ballerina length frock. Her white net veil was held by a tiara of pearls and she carried a bou quet of white shattered car nations encircling baby pink Rosebuds. . Miss Glenna Brewold was . maid of honor for her cousin and bridesmaids were Miss Patricia Brewold, the bride's cousin, and Miss Barbara Read. They wore pink lace frocks over pink taffeta with pink velvet and net head dresses and carried bouquets of pink and white carnations. Richard Cave, Rogue River, served as best man. Lancing 1 Brewold, brother of the bride, and Roy Van Pelt, Klamath Falls, cousin of the bridegroom, seated the guests. Miss Phyllis Tosh, sister of the bridegroom, was candle lighter. She wore a pink bro cade taffeta frock. Miss Ruth Coovert played the organ wedding music. Fink and white carnations with white stock on the altar decorated the church. For her daughter's wedding and reception which follow ed Mrs. Brewold chose a light blue polka dot dress with ' white accessories. Mrs. Tosh wore a pastel green dress with white accessories. Their cor sages were gardenias Members of the Women's guild of the church decorated the bride wearing a white church for the reception. Mrs, John Beacham cut and serv ed the wedding cake and Mrs. Cyril Gay and Mrs. Hanns Miers poured the punch and coffee. Miss Beverly Tosh, cousin of the bridegroom, was In charge of the guest book, and Miss Heather Rode was at the gift table. Following the reception the couple traveled to the coast, the brid ewearing a white ' cotton knit suit with white accessories and the rosebud corsage from her bridal bou - quet. '- The bride and bridegroom are graduates of Medford High school. Miss Zamrzla, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Zamrzla, Redding, attended schools in Central Point and Grants Pass, graduating from Grants Pass High school in 1958. She attended Southern Oregon college before moving to Red ding, where she is employed at radio station KPAP. Her fiance is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Manuel, Havre, Mont. He attended schools in Havre, graduating from high school in 1955, and served two years in the armed forces. He is employed at Trinity Dam, Calif. No date has been set for their wedding. Daughters Plan Session June 1 Bethel 14, International Or der of Job's Daughters, will meet Wednesday, June 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Medford Ma sonic temple. This will be the last meet ing over which Honored Queen Marion Parsons will preside. All members of Job's Daughters, parents, guardians and persons of proper Mason ic relationship are invited to attend. During the business ses sion, final plans will be an nounced concerning the instal lation services planned for June 4, and recommendations will be made for members of the guardian council. Honored at Shower Tiller-Drew-Twenty - four friends of Miss Sylvia Parks gathered in the Glann Rogers home for a bridal shower in her honor. After games, Miss Parks op ened her gifts. Winners of game prizes were Mrs. Char les Jackson and Mrs. Ralph Stauch. A decorated cake and other refreshments were served by Mrs. Jackson and Mrs. Rogers. Maurer, Cave Junction. Miss Fasel is the daughter of Mrs. Deloris Fasel, Oak land, and W. T. Fasel, Med ford. The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Maurer, Cave Junction. Both of the young people are students at Southern Ore gon college, where Miss Fasel is to be graduated in June. They plan to be married in the Oakland Presbyterian church in July. . Twenty-Ninth Home Extension Unit Organized Mrs. Leona Sheehan, Jack son county home extension agent, spoke to 22 women in terested in forming an eve ning unit May 25 at the home of Mrs. Jack Campbell, 3252 Bursell road. Mrs. Sheehan discussed the topics to be studied this year and gave the aims and purposes of a unit. Seventeen women indicated a desire to form a unit at this time. Mrs. C. E. Chisum, chairman - elect of Howard unit, called for nominations and officers were elected They are chairman, Mrs. C C. Peterson; assistant chair man, Mrs. C. L. Walter; secre tary, Mrs. V. I. Parent; and treasurer, Mrs. W. W. Herz- berg. Mrs. Sheehan Installed th officers. The unit will be known as the Night-lighters and will meet the second Tuesday evening of each month starting in September. Mrs. W. H. Colley and Mrs. C. C. Peterson were co hostesses for the meeting. This brings to 29 the num bers of home extension units in the county; membership numbers more than 700 wo men, Party Honors Retiring Head of DAV Auxiliary A party honoring Mrs. Ha zel Rawles, retiring depart ment commander of the Dis abled American Veterans aux iliary, was given at the home of Mrs. Bertha Neff, 811 Ben nett avenue. May 23. Mrs. Rawles was presented a pink carnation corsage and a gift from the auxiliary of the Jackson County chapter of DAV. Sorority Chapter Has Installation At Final Meeting Mrs. Kay Kelley was in stalled president of Gamma Xi chapter, Beta Sigma Phi, Central Point, at a recent meeting at the home of Mrs. Clinton Neeley, 2008 Wester lund drive, Medford. Others installed included Mrs. John Pinkham, first vice president; Mrs. J. N. Starnes, second vice-president; Mrs. Don Lacy, recording secre tary; Mrs. Jerome Wing, treasurer; Mrs. Andrew De Kort, corresponding secretary and publicity chairman; Mrs. Darrel Greb, program chair man; Mrs. Roy Madden and Mrs. Carroll Adams, city coun cil representatives; Mrs. Gor don Mekvold, social chairman; and Mrs. Clinton Neeley, di rector. A table centerpiece of white stock and red carnations pro vided decoration for the can dlelight ceremony. Refresh ments were served by the co- hostesses, Mrs. Pinkham and Mrs. Greb. Plans have been completed for a beachcomber party to be held for members and their husbands, June 18, at 8 p.m at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Bruce Turner, Central Point. The installation was the last meeting of the chapter until regular meetings resume in the fall. 1 Family to Spend Summer in Alaska Hornbrook - Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Rhodes and small son left Saturday, May 28, for Petersburg, Alaska, where they will spend the summer with her parents. They plan to drive to Prince Rupert, British Columbia, then fly from there to Peters burg. Mr. Rhodes is teacher of the fifth and sixth grades at the local grammar school. No date has been set for the wedding. Miss Jennings will be grad uated with the 1960 class of Medford High school. She is member of Torch Honor society, of the school's debate team and has participated in many other school activities. Mr. Reisinger was gradu ated from Medford High school in 1956 and is employ ed by a valley contractor. 1 Group Sponsors Dance Recital Grants Pass Alpha Iota chapter of Epsilon Sigma Al pha sorority will present a dance recital by Ethel Mars at 8 p.m. June 1 and 3 in the South Junior High school gymnasium, Grants Pass. The chapter is sponsoring the event to raise funds for the Children's Hospital school in Eugene operated by the Oregon Society for Crippled Children and Adults. The program will include 45 minutes of variety and 45 minutes of the ballet, "The Enchanted Forest." Mrs. Donald Camp Honored at Party Mrs. Donald Lowell Camp was honored at a shower Monday evening at the home of Mrs. William Harvey, 1501 Stratford avenue. Mrs. Hazel Graten, mother of the guest of honor, was assistant hostess. A pink and blue floral piece centered the refreshment ta ble and Mrs. Camp was pre sented a pink and blue cor sage. Mrs. Charles Hopper and Mrs. John Harvey poured. Other guests included the Mesdames Ira Canficld, Hal Bishop, H. C. Goldsmith, John Smith, Stanley Jones, Frank Little, John Esp, Jack Clark, Corrine Kane, Merritt Swing and Earl Mercer. The bridge priie was won by Mrs. I. C. Goldsmith and the eanasta prize by Mrs. H. E. Bishop. Refreshment chairman for the evening was the new pres ident, Mrs. L. C. Scott, assist ed by the other officers. The Scottish Rite men met with the women for refreshments after their respective meet ings. There were 61 present. The next meeting of Scot tish Rite Women's club will be a business meeting, June 13, followed by curds. Mrs. C. Hoffman will be the re freshment chairman. The 32nd degree dinner for Scottish Rite Men was held at the Masonic hall last even ing. Scottish Rite Women's club served the dinner. Gen eral chairman for the dinner was Mrs. Marshal Day. Mrs. Day's hostesses were Mrs. Mrs. E. C. Hoffman, Mrs. Ger trude Winningham and Mrs. H. E. Bishop. Mrs. Lewis Kil bourn was in charge of table decorations. Mother-Daughter Party Is Event Of Grandmothers Sixty persons attended the mother-daughter meeting of Rogue Grandmothers club May 23 at Girls Community club. Mrs. Fred Ryde, presi dent, opened the meeting fol lowing a dessert luncheon. For the program Mrs. Jen nie Hutchinson, chaplain, gave a reading and a prayer; Mrs. W. E. McCracken and daugh ter, Mrs. John Brewold, sang; Mrs. David Fraysher read a poem; Mrs. W. E. McCracken, Mrs. J. P. Graham and Mrs. Jewel Newcum sang; Mrs. Ina Huson read a poem; and Mrs. E. P. Kurz played a harmon ica solo. Mrs. P. M. Aldredge, pian ist accompanied group sing ing which closed the program. A shower of birthday cards honored the president.
