Thomason, 512 Mary place, became the bride of Robert Dale Seth, IS B Ncw--town street, in a ceremony May 1 at First Methodist church. The bridegroom's mother, Mrs. E. E. Dunham, Los Angeles, was in Mcdford for the event. Dr. George Roseberry read the ceremony at 8 o'clock in the evening before about 120 guests. Baskets of white stock provided a setting for the service. The bride's full-length gown of imported chantllly lace over satin was designed with a Sabrina neckline trimmed with Iridescent se quins, and long sleeves. Her fingertip- length veil of French net was held by a ti ara of orange blossoms. She carried pink carnations and a white orchid. Mr. Thomason gave his daughter in marriage. Mrs. Barbara Fleming, a sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a bnlle-rina-lcngth gown of lime green chiffon and carried a nosegay of white carnations. Miss Pat Kime, a cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid. She wore a ballerina-length gown of apricot colored chif fon and carried white carna tions. The flower girl, Debra Fleming, is a niece of the bride. She wore a pink nylon frock and carried a basket of petals. Miss Mary Allene Thomason, sister of the bride, and Miss Sheryl Marshall, a . Mr. and Mrs. Neil Glenn, 18 Elm street, friends of the families, were hosts at a re ception which followed at their home. Mis. Gerald Kime, Central Point, aunt of the bride, poured punch and Mrs. John Robison, Central Point, poured coffee. Cutting the cake were Mrs. Francis Marshall, Central Point, and Mrs. Lee Bumgard ner, aunts of the bride, who also baked and decorated the cake. Assisting were Mrs. Neill Glenn and Mrs. Nor ville Hilficker, cousin of the bride. The bride and bridegroom attended elementary school in Central Point. She attended Crater High school before transferring to Medford High school, where she was gradu ated. She is a member of Beta Chi Theta Rho club and Mt. Pitt Rebekah lodge, Central Point. The bride also attend ed dental assistants school in Seattle. The bridegroom attended Universiy High school in Los Angeles and is now employed by Bessonette Construction company. The newlyweds are resid ing at 15 B Newtown street following their return from a wedding trip to Los Ange les. Coming from out of town for the wedding, in addition to the mother of the bride groom, were Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Vincent and son, Terry, Mr. and Mrs. Hilficker and family and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kampstra and family, all of Salem; Mrs. Chester Jenkins, Independence; and Mrs. Lester Teschner, Port land. Dinner Given At Country Club Honors Picketts Mr. and Mrs. La Forrest Pickett, 206 Portland avenue, were honored at a small din ner last night at Rogue Val ley Country club which ob served their 60th wedding an niversary. Hosts for the event were the couple's elder son, Bruce F. Pickett,- and Mrs. Pickett, Salem, and their second son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Pickett, Port land. The Forrest Pickett's son, Nelson, student at Ore gon Stale college, Corvallis, was also here for the dinner. Other guests were long-time friends of the honored couple. The table centerpiece was a cut glass dish filled with rhododendrons, and "dia mond" trimmed candles In an tique cupid candleholders of brass. Mrs. Pickett wore a green gown and corsage for the event. The honored couple came to Jackson county In 1919, living first on a ranch near Gold Hill. They have made their home In the county ever since. They were married in Rodney, Iowa, May 23, 1900. 4 Ti" ! If ..;JL 'HI' Grey-Chick Ceremony Takes Place A ceremony held May 14 at Medford Congregational church wedded Nellie Raw- lings Chick and James Wil liam Grey. The double-ring rites took place at two o'clock in the afternoon, with tha Rev. Thomas McCamant of ficiating. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey E. Rawlings, Route 4, Box 405. Medford, and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Herb Grey, 42 South Barneburg road, Medford. About 25 guests attended the ceremony and the recep tion which followed at tha bride's home, 2000 Woodlawn drive. For her wedding and re ception the bride wore a pink linen suit and carried pink rosebuds on a white bible, the bible being the bridegroom's gift. Miss Neva Rawlings, the bride's sister, was her attend ant. She wore a sheath frock of baby blue linen and car ried white carnations. Herb J. Grey was best man for his brother. Bouquets of white stock and pink daisies decorated the church for the ceremony, and these flowers were also used for reception decorations. Mrs. Herb J. Grey, sister-in-law of the bride, cut the wed ding cake, Mrs. Bryan Mercer served punch and Mrs. Brian Mullen the coffee. Mr. Grey and his bride made a wedding trip to Vic toria B.C.. and will live at the Woodlawn address. For traveling Mrs. Grey wore a pink sheath frock with white accessories and the roses from her wedding bouquet. The bride attended Medford High school and Robertson School of Business. She has been a bookkeeper for Wil liam Dawkins and associates. Mr. Grey is a graduate of Medford High school and Whitworth college, Spokane, and is an advertising salesman for the Medford Mail Tribune. The bride was honored at a shower given by Mrs. Brian Mullen at her home on Camp bell rond May 10. Guests were Mrs. William Young, Mrs. Hugh Jennings, Mrs. Herb J. Grey, Mrs. Kermit Bickel, Mrs. Rollie Chisum, Mrs. C. J. Guest Day Set By Medford DAR Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a guest day at the Girls Commulty club Saturday, May 28, at 2 p.m. An afternoon of muskr will be presented by Mrs. Martel Peters from Ashland. She will review American music from the early days of this country to the present time. Other singers will assist her. Hostesses for the afternoon will be Miss Florence Gifford. Mrs. Ray K. Bailey." The bride is a daughter of Mr, Newlyweds Honeymoon Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. Loh man are making an extended trip to the midwestern and southern United States follow ing their wedding May 14 in Medford. They will be at home June 6 at 2491 Sacra mento drive, Redding, Calif. The bride is the former Donnis F. Misek, 1309 Mt. Pitt avenue, daughter of Mrs. Joe Chadima, Wymore, Neb. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lohman, Lawrence, Kan. The Rev. George R. Bol ster performed the double ring service at 11 o'clock in the morning in St. Mark's Episcopal church. A small number of relatives and friends attended. The bride wore a light blue silk jacket dress with a beige and white flower hat. Her corsage was of white cym bidium orchids. Mrs. Nina Huffman, Gold Hill, was matron of honor. She wore a beige and light brown dress with a white hat and a corsage of yellow car nations. Ray Fowler. Redding, Calif, was best man. A reception was held at the home of the bride following the ceremony. The bridegroom is a supply officer with the U.S. forest service at Redding. He was a lieutenant in the army in World War II. The bride was employed by the Construction and. General Laborers union in Medford. Grigsby Family On Valley Visit Eagle Point-Dr. and Mrs. John L. Grigsby and four children. Paio Alto, Calif., arrived in the valley Thurs day for a week-end. visit with Dr. Grigsby s mother, Mrs. J, A. Grigsby, Agate road. Dr. Grigsby was a pilot of a Cessna 170. which brought the family from Palo Alto. He is chief engineer with Ap plied Technology, Inc., at Palo Alto. She wore a shell pink lace and organdy frock in ballerina length. A brief circular veil was held by a circlet of pink flowers and seed pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of white feathered carnations. Bill Hanneson, Eugene, brother of the bride, served as best man and Carl Gus- tafson seated the guests, For her daughter's wed ding Mrs. Hanneson wore an Alencon lace frock of Dior blue with matching accesso ries and her corsage was of stephanotis. Johnson, Seattle, Wash., uncle and aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Fred Micheau; Seattle. Rogue Gallery Announces Display of Student Work Medford High school's art , Coiner. Theresa Inglin, Rein department will present a dis play of student work from the fine arts section of the school at Rogue gallery beginning May 24. The works will be that of 26 of the school's out standing students in advanced study groups, it is announced. The works, relating to basic studies in painting, drawing, sculpture and print - making, cover a wide variety of sub jects and media and a broad range of viewpoints. Students represented in the show are Stephanie Ball, Ur sula Bates, Dick Day, Terry Ryan, Linda Hunter, Cliff Witte-Looysen Rites Are Held In Washington Mr. and Mrs. Douglass A. The gallery is open every day from 12 noon until 4 p.m. Dippels Return After Vacation Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Dippel have returned to their East wood drive home after spend ing the past four months on a winter vacation. En route to Florida, the Dippels made stops in San Diego, Calif., Tucson, Ariz., New Orleans, La. They spent two weeks on the island of Captiva Sanibel, off Ft. Meyers, and several days in the Key West area. They also spent a week at Miami Beach, sailed to Nassau for a stay and were in Ft. Lauderdale, Jacksonville and Daytona Beach. Leaving Florida, the tra velers were in Washington, D.C., in Pittsburgh, Pa., and in Ft. Wayne, Ind., where they were guests of Mrs. Dippel s sister. In Scotts Bluff, Neb., they visited Dr. Dippel'a sis ter.
