May time is Prom time for high schools in Jackson county. Miss Marilyn Mixson was crowned
queen of the Junior-Senior Prom held by Crater High school May 14, and she received her
badge of royalty from Steve Howell, president of the Junior class. Paris was the Prom theme
and the queen's throne was arranged under a replica of the famous Eiffel tower. Queen
Marilyn's gown was white nylon organdy embroidered in blue. (Anders photo)

The 16 graduating seniors of Prospect High school were honored at a banquet and dance at Rogue Valley
County club May 14. Posing here are Terry Gardner, sophomore; Clifford Chapman, unior class president
and president elect of the student body; Miss Virginia Eastman, senior class secretary who wore a pink
taffeta frock, and Don Gillespie, sophomore. Terry, Clifford and Don, with Craig Gardner, are members of a
quartet which entertained during the event. Mardi Gras was the party theme.

"Rhapsody in Roses" was the theme of the St. Mary's Junior-Senior Prom, held April 29 at Rogue Valley Country
club. Miss Mary Pat Naumes (at left) hands a rose to Miss Anne Manno, as David Rouhier, treasurer, looks on.
Miss Naumes is junior doss secretary for Sister Maureen's room, and Miss Manno is president. Roses decorated
the tables for the dinner which preceded dancing, ond blossoms floated in a fountain.
