oo Kiwanian Kiwanian Dames presented llicir annual luncheon, style show and card parly at Rogue Valley Country club Friday ahernuun for over 160 women of the valley. "Magic Moments of 1960." the theme, was in terpreted through the decora tions and styles. The decorations chairman. Mrs. Curtis Butterfield, and her committee of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Savard. Mrs. Wayne Struble. Mrs. Sam Richardson, Mrs. Abner Clark and Mrs. Jack Edson, brought "magic" in black hats to each table. The huge backdrop was of a black hat on while back ground and brought forth a "magical change" to the styles when a mystery lady waved her wand. Mrs. Fred Morlan, modeling for Burclson's, changed two costumes of black and white from daytime to cocktail dress with accessories from the hat. Mrs. Jerry Lausmann ex hibited a foundation garment under a navy Don Loper coat from Burleson's. As co-chairman of the event, she ended her modeling in a straight jacket from the local police department, walking in a daze across the platform. Children Model Jane Raapke, Lynn. Roger, and Peter Butterfield, Barbara and David Dellenback. wore styles from the J. C. Penney children's department. Jane modeled a pink two-piece play suit and a pink gingham party dress. Cloth ing for summer fun. from Leon's, was mod eled by the four Medford High school stu dents above, (left to right) Barbara Mitchell. for a game of cowboys and Indians. David and Barbara Dcllenback wore swim co ordinates in washable white and colored trim. Little Bar bara "stole the show" follow ing the foundation showing by wearing her newest under wear style. Teen-agers Karen and Linda Morlan, modeling for Leon's, and Barbara Mitchell and Cindy Barnett, modeling for Hadley's. showed all the gay colors of swim, fun and party fashions. Linda was ready for the opening of the town pool in her aquamarine swim suit. Both Karen and Linda wore leisure clothes of aquamarine, black and orange, complete with beach hat and soft shoes. Play and Party Cindy and Barbara, after modeling playclothes in white and blue cotton, donned pink party dresses. Cindy wore a tiny check with small spa ghetti straps and full skirt, and Barbara, a printed cotton satin. Barbara wore the only formal frock shown. It was of billowing aquamarine nylon in ballerina length. Mrs. Paul Mitchell showed a white Lilly Ann suit from Hadley's. With this she wore a copper-colored veiled hat with tiny birds. Later she mod eled a black lace tiered dinner dress in short length. Colorful was the word for the silk print "Around the World" dress modeled by Mrs. William Singler for Bur elson's. With it she wore red shoes and gloves. Mrs. Robert Hart, modeling for Leon's, wore a gay leisure outfit in the new hot orange, and later changed to a black-on-beige rayon linen knit with black patent accessories. Mrs. Richard Lament, also for Leon's, wore a simple black cotton highlighted with white daisies down the front, and later a blue cotton. Mrs. Max Millhollin, for Burleson's, wore a light em broidered pegnoir and gown, and later an eyelet sweater dress in pink with white pearlized accessories. Mystery Lady The magic mystery lady, who was revealed to be Mrs. Charles Champlin. was aided by Mrs. Jack Walker behind the backdrop. She was pre sented an orchid by Mrs. Ray Wise, the president. It was do nated by D. T. Bolton, who raises them as a hobby. The prize for guessing the mystery lady was won by Mrs. John H. Tizckkcr. Chairman for the prizes was Mrs. Edward Barnett. They were won by Mrs. Robert Wells. Mrs. Tony Manno, Mrs. James Coon and Mrs. Tom Polk. Chairmen for the event were Mrs. Glen Branlund and Mrs. Lausmann. The commen tator was Mrs. John Raapke and music was played by Mrs. Sam Van Dyke. Proceeds are to be used for payment of new drill recently purchased for the dental cli nic in the courthouse.
