The event, given to honor the graduating class, was held at Rogue Valley Country club and was a dinner-dance. Chapter Observesi 'Rhapsody in Roses' St. Mary's Prom Theme 60th Birthday Reamcs chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, observed the 60th anniversary of organiza tion at the last meeting held at Medford Masonic temple. The event also honored 50- year and charter members. Honored guests were Mrs. F.sther Coleman and Mrs. Maude Duffy. The temple was decorated with dogwood and a large "60." During the social hour re freshments were served from tables decorated with camel lias, peonies, ivy and yellow tapers. At each place setting was a small cake holding a lighted candle. Mrs. Coleman and Mrs. Duffy cut and served the birthday cake. Mrs. Roy Nordwlck was chairman, assisted by Mrs. V. A. Turpin, Mrs. Stewart ; Pennington, Mrs. Lloyd Caton i and Mrs. E. G. Randolph. The chapter will honor mothers and observe men's night at a stated meeting Thursday, May 12 at 8 p.m. in the temple. Mrs. Audrey Roberts, wor thy matron, and Carl Oes treich, worthy patron, will preside. K. G. Randolph and John Eddy will be chairman for the social hour and refresh ments following: the meeting. Mortar Board Pledges Coed t Corvallia Miss Sally J. El ' den. Central Point, is one of 19 (Oregon State college co eds chosen to be members next year of Mortar Board, senior women's honor and service society. She will be a senior next year in education. The dinner-dance was held at Rogue Valley Country club Friday evening, April 29. The tables were decorated with red roses held in vases made by the decorating com mittee. At the entrance there was a four-tiered fountain in which roses floated. Large white satin letters over the orchestra spelled out the t. h e m e. Blaine Trickle and Trio furnished music. Dr. and Mrs. F. T. Burick. i Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nannies and Dr. and Mrs. Florian Shasky were chapcrones. Miss Ann Manno and Fred Burich, presidents of the two junior classes, were co-chair-; men for the prom. Program chairman were the Misses Carol Valentine and Carole Doyle; ticket chairmen. Rich ard Evans and David Rankin; orchestra, Rick Carrara; dec orations, Miss Mary Pat Nau- mes, assisted by Miss Patty Calhoun, Miss Mary Robinson Miss Karen Crevier, Tony Adams.
