Temple to Hold Ashland Session New officers of Zuleima temple, Daughters of the Nile, will conduct a stated session in the Ashland Ma sonic temple Saturday, April 9, at 1 p.m. A salad luncheon will be served t 11:45 a.m. by the temple dancers as a fund raising project. V '-, - w " William Harvey Methodist Ceremony Weds Pair Miss Barbara Tickner. daughter of Mrs. Elinor Wat kins, 1223 Withington street, became the bride of C. Wil liam Harvey, 345 Apple street, in a ceremony held March 11 at First Methodist church. Mr. Harvey's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Allan S. Har vey, Hayward, Calif. Dr. George G. Roseberrv officiated at the 7 o'clock evening rites attended by 54 relatives and friends. For sythia decorated the church and lighted white candles were at the altar. The bride wore a white lace floor length own with white Jacket. Her accessories were white and she carried a bouquet of white carnations encircling a lavender orchid. Edwin E. Wall gave his grand daughter in marriage. Miss Linda Knapp attended her cousin. She wore a light green taffeta frock and car ried a bouquet of pink car nations encircling a white orchid. W. H. Howell served as best man.. C. W. Bally and Leon L. Knapp seated the guests. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the church. , The couple is at home at 345 Apple . itreet. Norman Gall, director of the choir of the Gold Hill Community Methodist church, said prac tices will be held Monday, April ' 4 and Monday, April 11 betwen 7 and 8 p.m. These replace the Thursday after noons practice sessions. The evening practices will enable boys of the church to participate in the choir for the Easter Sunday services, April 17, the director said. Newlyweds Make Home In Gold Hill Gold Hill - Mr. and Mrs. Harold Eugene Governor are making their home in Gold Hill following their recent wedding. They were married at First Methodist church in Reno, Nevada, March 12. The Rev. Floyd Marker, pastor of the church, officiated at the three o'clock afternoon double-ring ceremony. The bride wore a gown of white lace and tulle fashioned with fitted bodice and full ballerina length skirt over white satin. The long sleeved bolero was of white tulle. A tiara of white flowers held her fingertip length veil, which was trimmed with seed pearls and sequins. , The couple's only attend ants were Mr. and Mrs. James Byrns, Lampman road, Gold Hill. Mrs. Byrns wore an or ange and white knit sheath afternoon dress with white accessories. The bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Frances Jr., 204 Berrydale avenue, Med ford is the former Miss Joyce S. Frances. Prior to her mar riage she attended school at Crater High school. The bride groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Dungey, Gold Hill. Hi? attended Crater High school and schools in Cali fornia, and is employed at the Double D. Lumber company at Tolo. Previous to her marriage the bride was honored at a shower given at the home of Mrs. Ernest Ramsey, Sams Valley road. Co-hostesses were her daughters, Misses Georgia and Linda Ramsey. Medford Christian Wom en's club is being formed here by Mrs. Helen A. Nich ols and Mrs. Alice Kreiner, national representatives of an organization interested in pro moting the Christian religion among women of the United States. The women are also revitalizing the Christian Business and Professional Women's council of Medford, which had ceased to meet in recent months. The business and profession al women's council will hold a dinner meeting Thursday, April 7, at 6:15 p.m. at Rogue Valley Country club. Speaker will be Mrs. Ted Jones, Seat tle, and a parade of Easter hats will be presented by Hadley s shop under the di rection of Mrs. Maude Cod ding. Miss Karen Lytle will sing.
