Persons who had acquired antibodies before inhaling the vaccine, however, showed lit tle booster effect, Dr. Gordon Q Meikeljohn ofathe University of Colorado School of Medi cine reported in the Journal of the American Medical as sociation. Furthermore, the American vaccine, made from lolfed vi ruses, proved more effective than the live vaccine in rais ing antibody levels of persons who had antibodies at the time of the vaccination. The report was baled on observations of the responses of 27 volunteers who received the live vaccine. No illness was observed in these persons. Best and WorstviUe Have Some Population Columbus. O.
