It is holi est and salutary because it invites the faithful children of the Orthodox church all over the earth, first; for our Outdoor Group To Conduct Regional Meet at Portland Washington-Chairman Lau rance S. Rockefeller has an nounced that the' Outdoor Recreation Resources Review commission will hold the first in a series, of regional meet ings in Portland, Ore., on March 24. Representatives frpm Oregon, Washington, Montana and ,Idaho will at tend. The meeting will review progress of the commission in studying the needs of the na tion for outdoor recreation, The states will be asked to brief the commission on state and regional problems. They will also be asked to review the commission's plans for its inventory of state recreation resources. State contact officers, ap pointed by their respective governors, are Dan P. Allen, Oregon; J. W. Emmert, Idaho; Robert F. Cooney, Montana; and George Prescott, Washing ton. Other officials responsi ble for state outdoor recrea tion programs have been in vited. The recreation sub-committee of the Columbia Basin Inter - Agency committee, headed by Marshall Dana, will also attend the meeting. This sub-committee has long been concerned with the problems of outdoor recreation in the Northwest. The Portland meeting is the first in a series of regional conferences which ORRRC will hold throughout the coun try. T o attend church in order to receive Holy Communion, in God's fear, love and faith. To toil for good and kindness for the sake of everyone. To become the light in the world and the salt of the earth. (Math. 5:13-14.) Prepink Sprays Recommended The prepink spray should obe applied for scab control as soon as the buds are separat ed in the cluster, Clifford B. Cordy, county horticultural agent recommended today to all fruit growers. On Bartlett and Bosc use 8 gallons liquid lime surfur or 12 pounds polysulphide per acre, Cordy recommended For D'Anjou, Cornice, Nelis and Seckel varieties use 7 pounds Ziram or Ferbam per acre. If mildew is a problem on D'Anjous use 24 pounds Kolofog per acre. Add 6 pounds Parathion per acre to the above mix tures on all varieties, he sug gested. However, do not allow lime sulfur and Parathion to stand after being mixed in the tank, he warned. Persons not wishing to use Parathion may use Diazinon instead, both Cordy and L. G. Gentner, entomologist of the Southern Oregon Branch Ex periment station, recommend ed. Both men do not recom ment Malathion as a substi tute for Parathion. Salem - (UPD - Members of the Legislative Interim High way committee agreed Satur day that Oregon issues too many permits to commercial vehicles. Some of them appear to be unnecessary but required under present law, they said. Woman Injured in Two Car Collision Ashland A 19 -year -old Klamath Falls housewife was treated for possible neck in juries following a two-car collision at the intersection of Highway 99 and Grant st. here at 3 pjn. Saturday. Mrs. Maxine Adams, wife of Raymond C. Adams, 22, driver of one of the cars, was taken to a private doctor. Driv er of the other auto was Reid N. Johnson, 30, of 164 B St., Ashland. Damage to both vehicles was moderate and no citations were issued.
