I Plan for SALES RESULTS IN '60 MAIL TRIBUNE. Medford. Or. B Monday, March 14, 1960 Jobs Increase, Report To Show Washington-(CPD-Labor Sec retary James P. Mitchell says a Labor Department report to be issued Tuesday will show unemployment dropped dur ing February from the Janu ary total of 4,149,000. Mitchell said Sunday the drop would be "unusual for this time of year." He said the department's monthly re port on employment "will show a record high perform ance" despite such seasonal factors as the weather. Labor Department reports indicate "every month this year we will have unusually high employment," he added. Mitchell said unemploy ment, which stood at 4,149,000 in January, must be "analyzed in terms of who is unemploy ed." Most unemployment, he said, is short term and does not give any reason to "fear for the future."
