She attended Southern Oregon college for one term and is employed by Signal Oil company, Medford. Mr. Pathman is a senior at Med ford High school. No date has been set for the wedding. Senior Center Classes Slated A copper tooling class will be offered at the Senior Ac tivity Center on Tuesdays from 10 to 12 noon if enough people are interested, it has been announced. Registrations will be taken by telephone or in person at the Center, 601 East Jackson street, during this week any afternoon from 1 to 3 pjn. except Friday. The telephone numhsr is SPring 2-4163. X. D. Africa will teach the arts and crafts group. An opening date will be set as soon as a class is organized. Monday, March 14, the Arm Chair Travel group will hear Dr. Jouett P. Bray. He will show his collection of artifacts from the cliff dwell ers of Arizona and will dis cuss his trips to that region. The public is welcome. Meet ings are held from 1 to 3 p.m. The wood carving class will not meet this week. March 16 they will attend the 50 Plus party at Camp White. All other classes at the center will meet as usual. Miss Twedell is a graduate of Ashland High school and attended Bethany Bible col lege. She is now employed at Rath's Fashion center, Med ford. Her fiance is a graduate of Medford High school and has been attending San Francisco City college and Heald's En gineering school, San Fran cisco, for the past two years Their wedding is planned for early summer. Miss Chloe Twedell Mother and Son To Visit France Camp White - Mrs. Robert E. Kelley- and son Allen at Camp White will leave March 20 for New York City where they will board the French liner Flanders for France. Mrs. Kelly and her son will spend five months visiting friends and relatives in Paris, on the French Riviera and in Mauriac, Catal; and Thimory, Loiret. Mrs. Kelley is a native of France and her marriage to Mr. Kelley took place in Paris. While in Thimory, Allen will attend a French school and will resume his studies at St. Mary's school, Medford, in the fall. The travelers will return to the United States on the Lib erte the last of August. Mr. Kelly is the chief so cial worker at the Domicil iary, Camp White. Woods, Miss Doris Wall Miss Doris Wall To Become Bride Of Donald Hayes Jacksonville-Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wall, 604 Applegate road, Jacksonville, announce the en gagement of their daughter, Doris, to Donald H. Hayes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hayes, Route 2, Box 6 B, Jack sonville. Miss Wall is a graduate of Jacksonville High school and Robertson School of Business. She attended Bethany Bible college in Santa Cruz, Calif., and is now employed at the Medford YMCA. Mr. Hayes also attended Jacksonville High school and is employed at Cheney Stud mill, Central Point. A mid-summer wedding is planned. Newlyweds Return From Honeymoon Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Bottger have returned to Medford from their wedding trip in California. The couple was married March 3 at the First Christian church with the Rev. Glenn McKerrow of ficiating. Mrs. Milton Snow played the wedding music and accom panied Dr. Snow, soloist. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Hastain, 1116 West Ninth street. Mr. Bottger's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bottger, Jackson ville. The bride wore a ballerina length beige lace dress and carried a sheaf of red roses. She wore a short net head dress. Miss Emma Bottger, sister of the bridegroom, attended the bride. She wore a white and aquamarine print frock, made ballerina length, and carried white flowers. Her headdress was of net. Richard Bottger served as best man for his brother. Following the ceremony a reception was held. Mrs. Mar tin Heitkamp cut and served the wedding cake and Miss Nancy King presided at the punch bowl. Miss Jean Wil liams poured coffee. For her daughter's wed ding and reception Mrs. Has tain wore a blue paisley silk dress. Mrs. Bottger chose a navy blue dress. Their cor sages were white carnations. The bride is a graduate of Medford High school and is a pledge of Epsilon Sigma Al pha international sorority. She is employed by Commer cial Finance corporation. Miss Skinner graduated from Phoenix High school and is attending Southern Ore gon college. Medford Student Named Chairman Miss Marianne Samuelson, a freshman at Oregon State college, has been named chair man of the radio committee of the Associated Women Stu dents at OSC. Chairmen were selected by the AWS legisla tive council. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ward A. Samuelson, 506 Whitman place, and a 1959 graduate of Medford High school. She is also a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority; office secretary for the school paper, the Barom eter; and a member of the Memorial Union hospitality committee. I Carl Browers 50th Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brower celebrated their fiftieth wed ding anniversary Sunday, March 6, with a family din ner and reception for their friends in Eagle Point. Mr. and Mrs. Brower were mar ried in a home wedding at Eufraula, Okla., "March 5, 1910. Mr. Brower farmed in Oklahoma before moving to California in 1934 where he continued his trade. He moved his family to the Eagle Point home where he was a dairy man until he retired last year. Approximately 65 guests signed the guest book at the reception given for the Brow ers by their two daughters, Mrs. Frank Powell, Eagle Point, and Mrs. Milton George, Santa Maria, Calif. Guests called Sunday after noon at the family home on Lorraine street. Mrs. Brower received her guests wearing a two-piece navy and white silk jersey suit and wearing a carnation corsage sprayed with gold which was nresented to her by her grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Johnson and Miss Arlene George. The living room was dec orated with yellow daffodils, including several dozen given the Browers for the occasion. V. Rumseys of California. The family dinner was served at the Brower home. Present were their daugh ters, Mrs. George, and Mrs. Powell, Mr. George; the cou ple's grandchildren Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Johnson and Miss Arlene George of Santa Ma ria, and a neice and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Rumsey, Crockett, Calif. The family presented the Browers a set of china and a set of crystal. Nevita Past Matrons club will meet at 1 p.m. Wednes day, March 16, at North's Chuck Wagon for a regular luncheon and business session. 79 Yard Show, Tea Set April 2 Central Point - Chairmen for the Crater Garden club's second annual flower show and silver tea to be held April 2 at the Crater High cafeto rium have been announced. Mrs. Charles Taylor is gen eral chairman for the event. Mrs. Henry Friesen is in charge of entries and classifi cations; Mrs. Charles Taylor and Mrs. Cliff E. Green, sche dule; Mrs. Lawrence Messal, tea; and Mrs. Arthur Straus, Mrs. Carroll Stevenson, Mrs. Messal and Mrs. Green, wed ding table. The show is titled "Way w a r d Spring." Regulations and a schedule of the show have been worked out by the committee and are available to those wishing to enter. Scottish Rite Women To Elect Officers Election of officers for the Scottish Rite Women's club will be held at a meeting Mon day, March 14, at 8 p.m. in the Masonic temple. A social hour will follow.
