MAIL TRIBUNE, Mtdford. Or. Thursday, Fab. 11. 1960 6 Realty Board to Hear Consultant On Development Chester A. Moores, Port land, governor's consultant to the Oregon department of planning and development, will address the regular meet ing of the Medford Realty board at noon Friday, Feb. 12, at Rogue Valley Country club. The meeting is part of the group's education for this year. William Frohnmayer is president. Moores has announced his retirement as vice president of Commonwealth, Inc., in or der to devote part time to the state job. He announced that he will work with all real tors in industrial development and appraisals "without hav ing any operating ties with his old company," the realty board reported. He will re main on the corporation's board of directors. He is past president of the Oregon society of industrial realtors, the chamber of com merce, Portland Rose Festi val, Oregon and Portland Realty associations and is a First Citizen of Portland in recognition of his civic and business activities. Othar Business Other business at the meet ing include a vote on an am- mendment to the group s con stitution and by-laws to allow salesmen to become active members of the board. At the last meeting, E. L. Bartholemew was appointed head of the ethics committee with Ralph Bell, Ivan Peoples, Bob Hart, Mary Maass, Cap Vandagrift, Chris Barker as members. H. O. Martin was named chairman of the arbi tration committee, with Nor man Spencer, Clark Walker, Gordon McKenzie and Bill Pelser, members. Mrs. Bertha Gammill and Bob Hart will be in charge of membership; Harry Marshal and Wallace Watkins, publici ty; Bob Stokes, public affairs and resolutions; Vandagrift, legislation and taxation; pro gram, Frohnmayer and Don Herried; commercial develop ment, John Weisbrod; and newspaper advertising, Wally Watkins. Objectives for 1960 which were selected by the board of directors include active mem bership status for salesmen, active educational program, more effective newspaper ad vertising, and a commercial development program. EP Students Plan Dance Friday Night Eagle Point Eighth grade students of Mrs. Larry Davis are sponsoring a Teens Again st Polio Valentine dance Fri day, Feb. 12, in the Eagle Point school gymnasium from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Merle and Delvin Ford will sine a few songs. Refresh ments will be served by Patsy Sutton, Nancy Walton and Viola Miller. Cookies will be brought by Donna Geren, Donald Hanscom, Barbara Jo Wilson, Richard Anderson, Richard Cowden, Ellen Hay and Rusty Clave. Valentine designs will dec orate the gym. Members of the decorating committee are Donna Geren, Willard Ayres, Linda Wietman, Ellen Hay, Donald Hanscom, Pamela Stevens, Frank Charley, Rich ard Anderson and Rusty Clave. The dance will be semi formal and proceeds will go to the March of Dunes. Students of Mrs. Ann Briggs are building bird houses at school. A previous announce ment stating that Mrs. Emily Gregg's students were build ing the houses was in error. AUTOMATIC PICKER Trenton, N.J.-(WD-Automa-tion replaced a thousand pota to pickers in New Jersey last year, the state Agriculture Department has reported. The department said 37 per cent of the state's potato crop was harvested by machine in 1959. Most of the displaced work ers, the agency said, were farm laborers from the south ern states.
