I Ma4 Kl.w 47 10501" Race Car Driver To Speak in Assembly Bob Veith, the Indianapo lis race car driver, will be in Medford Tuesday, Nov. 24, to address the Medford High school assembly. His topic will be "Highway Safety is No Accident." Veith, a veteran driver of the Indianapolis and Monza, Italy courses, was known to race car enthusiasts as "Rookie of the Year" in 1956. Sponsored by Littrell Parts and backed by the Champion Spark Plug company, Veith is one of a team of race track drivers that are touring the country speaking at high schools and military posts in the Interest of safer driving. The Safety Program has won the National Safety Council award for the Cham pion Spark Plug company, This is the second year that the Littrell company has sponsored the program and two assemblies have been ar ranged so that all students at Medford High school will have the opportunity to hear him. Animal Nutrition , Course to Start Phoenix-The opening date for the adult course in ani mal nutrition has been post poned until Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the Phoenix High school vocational agriculture classroom, school officials announce. The class will meet Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. for ten weeKs. ' Those interested in enroll ing should contact the Phoe nix High school, KEystone 5 1442, or Jack Dube, KEystone 5-1188. Registration and pay ment of $5 fees may be made at the first meeting. Keith Hockersmith, farm fieldman for the Grange Coop will De instructor. A local veterinar ian will present an additional class on nutritional diseases and internal parasites. The nutrition course is designed to present the latest information on feed additives, pelleted and watered feeds, analysis and values of feed rations, balancing rations, roughages, forage manage ment, feeding of different types of livestock, internal parasites and nutritional dis eases. : " '. 1 Missing Brothers Found by Searchers La Grande -flJTO- Two teen ' age brothers, lost overnight in the woods 10 miles south west of here, were found Sun day afternoon by oficers of the Oregon State Game Com mission. The youths, Mike and Pat Snyder, 16 and 14 respective ly, were reported missing Saturday when they failed to show up at a designated meeting place. Other members of the hunt ing party notified officials and the search was begun at dawn Sunday. The 4-H club members and parents are to meet at 10 ajn. at the Mon tague hall on Dec. 8. It was suggested by Eowler that different members give demonstrations after each meeeting. Miss Young and Miss Joslin will give a dem onstration on Christmas dec orations at the Christmas party. . -t For the Christmas party it was decided to have all the members take inexpensive gifts for exchange and pot luck. . .
