Murry Dumas, auction chair man, announced that the event will be held sometime in late January or early Feb ruary. Approximate cost of the pool is $3,000. Russ Jamison, city parks and recreation commission chairman, explained that the wading pool had not been in cluded in the park plans for bids. Although the wading pool Is part of the total plan for Jackson park, public funds were not available. Robert Haworth, parks and recreation director, said that a plaque will be erected at the wading pool in honor of the Crater Lions club for their cooperation in the city parks and recreation program. Other installations at the site will include swimming and diving pools, baseball diamond, softball and foot- hall facilities, playground equipment and the locomotive recently movea xo we sue. Achievement Night Held in Shady Cove The Shady Cove-Elk Trail achievement pnoeram was held Saturday at tne &naay Cove school. Cliff Ayres, manager of the Central Point branch, First National Bank, presented . awards to 4-H club members.
