"Mrs. Shelton will attend Plumer-Elhart Wedding Today; Relatives Here The wedding of Miss Doro thy Elhart to Bernard K. Plumer is' set for this after noon at three o'clock at First Presbyterian church. The re ception will be held at Girls Community club. Miss Elhart is a daughter ef Mr. and Mrs. Carlton D Elhart, 1717 Stratford ave nue, and Mr. Plumer' s parents re Mr. and Mrs. Carl Plum er, Carson, Iowa. Miss Dorothy Elhart ar rived from : Portland yester day to be her sister's attend ant, and Paul -Plumer has come from Carson to be best man for his brother. The bridegroom's parents and his brother, Philips, are also here. The Plumers are guests of - Mr. and Mrs. George Osier, 719 Palm street, the Osiers being an uncle and aunt of the bridegroom. Mrs. Plumer is a sister of Mr. Osier. Guests of the Eiharts are Mr. and Mrs. Milton Lester, Caldwell, Ida- uncle and aunt pf the bride. Mrs. Lester is sister of Mr. Elhart. Last night the Eiharts were hosts for a family dinner, and tonight the Osiers are entertaining at a similar event following the wedding. ' Earlier this fall Miss Elhart was honored at a neighbor hood party and shower given by Mrs. R. A. Berry. Guild Announces Workshop Friday Members of Si. Eiabeth's guild of St. Mark's Episcopal church will meet Friday, November 13, In -the . Guild nail for luncheon and a work shop. Holy communion ' will be celebrated in the church at 11 ajn. Crowning the queen is Roger Hout, co-captain of the team. . Miss Anne Haviland Reigns Over Homecoming Events- Miss Anne Haviland, sen ior, reigned as queen over the homecoming activities last week end at St. Mary's. The announcement of the queen and her court for the game and dance the following' evening, was made by Tom Toirijack, chairman of the homecoming events. Anne Haviland, senior, was named queen with princesses, Linda Metz, freshman; Vir ginia Rauseh, sophomore; and Anne Bennett, junior. Re freshments were served by the senior class. Saturday the students, alumni and parents . of St. Mary's attended the football game with Merrill held at the Medford High school field. At halftime Queen Anne was crowned by Roger Hout, co captain of the team. The game, won by St. Mary's, 46-26, was followed by a dance held in the school activity room at St. Mary's. The stage was decorated to Luncheon, Show Will Aid Medford School of Hope Proceeds from the Taney Foods and Fashions" luncheon and fashion show to be given by Medford Junior Women's club Tuesday,- November 16, have been designated for the School of Hope, "Mrs.. John L, Holmes, Jr., philanthropic chairman, has announced. The school was established in 1958 by persons in the area who realized the need for in dividual training of the men tally retarded. The aim of the program is. to develop skills which will assist the 'child toward a normal, useful life. Junior clubs in the Oregon Federation of Women's clubs have named assistance to the mentally retarded as their statewide project. Last year the Medford group purchased toys for the children and also saved empty cartons for use as a play-store. v The foods and fashions event is planned for 1?:30 p.m. at Mon Desir dining inn. Qmm X IWh Holiday Style Show Held By Cow Belles Thursday First holiday fashion show of the season was presented Thursday by Jackson County Cow Belles at the Bellview Grange hall near Ashland. Mrs. Victor Stewart, Ashland, was chairman, with Mrs. Don ald Bradshaw, Central Point, and Mrs. Albert Wright, Ash land. White lace snowflakes dec orated the stage across which the models paraded, and the luncheon tables were centered, with cones holding pink can dles. Programs were bell shaped and Cow Belles wore clusters of silver bells as name tags. Mrs. Donald Nichols, presi dent of the group, served as commentator for the show and before the style show began, said that the trend of modern times did not make an early November holiday show "too early, but only right on time." . Models were Mrs. Claus Charley, Eagle Point; Mrs. Wright, Mrs. Richard Heins, Jacksonville; Mrs. Leslie Lusk, Ashland; Mrs. Clayton Charley, Medford; Mrs. Rob ert Fisher, Eagle Point; Mrs. Donald Bradshaw and Mrs. John Bohnert, Central Point. The show opened with "an home" wear including gay printed corduroy robes, fluffy negligees over matching gown, and tapered black lounging trousers with a quilt ed satin jacket. Clothing for sports or coun try wear proved unusually in teresting. One ski ensemble included a white coat of shag gy synthetic fur, and bright plaids were featured for slack and jacket suits. Afternoon frocks included two of sapphire blue, and a white jersey appliqued with roses made of chiffon. A satin foulard dress was of rose and grey print. -Late day wear shown in cluded a pale pink brocade frock designed with wide satin, fash and scallop trim wmch gave a bolero eiiect to the bodice. One "after five" dress look Couple Visits In Home Here Visiting in Medford recent ly for the first tune since their wedding April 17 in Glasgow, Mont., were Mr. and Mrs. Tod D. Cornell, son-u law and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Henson, 2000 Wes- terlund drive. Medford., During the couple's .three weeks in the valley they were entertained by friends ; and were honored at an open house at the Henson home October 25. A number of friends of Mrs. Cornell poured during the afternoon event at tended by 80 relatives and friends. The couple also traveled to the Oregon coast while in the state. Mr. Cornell, an airman first class in the United States Air Force, was formerly stationed at Glasgow Air Force -Base, and will report for new as signment at Chanute Air Force Base, 111. He will take a course in preparation for re-assignment as an Air Force technical instructor in the field of petroleum supply.. One frock of "white cham pagne" had the fashionable fur trim on the sleeves, and another late day gown was of vivid red lace. The ever-popular black was represented by a gown of black nylon tulle and taffeta trimmed with turquoise streamer sash. The gown was dotted with rhinestones. One of the newest fashion trends is the wearing of ele gant trousers for evening, par ticularily for "at home" en tertaining. To close the show, Mrs. Bradshaw modeled a pair of new black tapered evening trousers made of two, way stretch material which fit like a second skin. The trous ers were embroidered down the sides and were worn with a low-cut white jersey eve ning blouse trimmed w J t h pearls and rhinestones, a wide belt of crushed, red leather and red bracelets. The luncheon served by women of Bellview Grange featured beef with dressing and dessert was flaming cherry jubilee. Mrs. Lloyd A. Hoadley, Ashland, was lunch eon chairman. Stores cooperating for the show were Bon Bazaar, Greenwades, Fortmillers, Park View, Perrines, Penny's and Carole Ann's, all Ashland. Couple Sets Wedding Day- Sisters to Share Reception Miss ' Nancy Jennings has set Friday, November 27, dur ing the Thanksgiving holidays, for her wedding to Richard James Pittma'n.
