Scott (Phoio Graphic) Art Exhibit Set Today A preview of paintings by Eugene Bennett which will be exhibited in three one-man shows scheduled through the next four months will be held today from 2 until 5 o'clock this afternoon. The preview will be held at the artist's studio, 329 South Grape street, and will include some 50 paintings and draw ings. The public is invited to at tend the exhibit which will in clude many valley scenes. At the last meeting of the group, Mrs. David Crosby and Mrs. Louis Ruhl were win ners at bridge, and Mrs. Les ter Finley won high score at pinochle. These women will be in charge of refreshments at Tuesday's party. 617 East Main Phone SP 2-8992 7v P I mni''J -r i 1 Scott - Medley Held in Colleg Of interest here is news of the wedding Saturday, Octo ber 10, of Miss Patricia Med ley, daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Medley, Klamath Falls, to Thomas D. Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Scott, Den ver, Colorado. The event took place in Price Memorial chapel in Old College hall at Pacific univer sity, Forest Grove, where the bride has been a student. The Medley family formerly re sided in Medford. The Rev. J. Vincent Crane of Campus Congregational church performed the candle light ceremony at 7 o'clock in the evening. Bronze and gold chrysanthemums deco rated the church. The bride, who was escorted down the aisle by her brother, Ted Medley, Klamath Falls, wore a ballerina-length gown of lace over satin. A pearl crown held a short bouffant veil and she carried a small cascade of golden bronze talis man roses. Miss MaryLou Medley, Kla math Falls, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Her gown of bronze taffeta was styled with a balloon skirt and three- quarter length sleeves. She carried a small cascade of autumn colored chrysanthe mums. Miss Barbara Medley, Kla math Falls, another sister of the bride, served as brides maid. She wore a . gown of gold taffeta designed as the maid of honor's. Dr. James Scott, Portland, was best man for his brother. Ted Medley served as grooms man and David Medley, anoth er brother of the bride, light ed the candles. Miss Jane Gold, sorority sister of the bride, was soloist and Miss Kathryn Compton, a schoolmate, was organist. A reception followed in the Alumni Memorabelia room of the hall. Miss Mollie Chaffee poured coffee, Miss Sandra Trentz cut the cake and Miss Suzanne Richards served punch. The young couple traveled to the Oregon and Washington coast on their wedding trip, the bride wearing as a going away ensemble a moss green sheer wool sheath dress with bronze and green accessories. They, will make their home in Portland, where the bride will continue her studies at Port land State college. Miss Dorothy Wilson will be in charge of the program. Wednesday, November 4, Chapter CP will meet at the home of Mrs. Allen C. Smith, 316 Lindero street. Assisting her will be Mrs. John Graff and Mrs. G. R. Polski. Mrs. T. P. Barss will pre sent the program. Chapter CG will meet Wed nesday, N o v e m ber 4, for luncheon at 1 p.m. at the home of Mrs. R. J. House, 15 Corning court. Mrs. J. A. Grigsby will pre sent the program. Mrs. L. E. November Rites Planned by Pair Announcement has been made of the engagement and approaching marriage of Miss Carolyn Rae Fichtner, 227 North Oakdale avenue, to Dick L. Chamberlain, Eagle Point. Miss Fichtner is a daughter of Mrs. Betty Fichtner, North Oakdale avenue, and Clyde Fichtner, 331 West Second street. Mr. Chamberlain's par ents are Mr. and Mrs. Edward Chamberlain, Star route, Eagle Point. Miss Fichtner attended Med ford High school and Robert son's School of Business. She is a stenographer for the Cali fornia Oregon Power com pany. Mr. Chamberlain at tended Eagle Point High school and is self employed as a rancher and logger. The wedding has been scheduled for Friday, Novem ber 27, at First Methodist church. Red Cross Orientation Event Set The annual Red Cross orien tation event, a guest luncheon for new men and women vol unteers, will be held Tuesday, November 3, at 12 noon, at the Red Cross building, 60 Haw thorne avenue. Luncheon will be followed by a short, informal explana tion of all volunteer services by the chairman of each group. Manville Heisel, chap ter chairman, will welcome the guests and introduce Mrs. E. A. Littrell, new chairman' of recruitment, who will con duct the discussion. A brief, comprehensive picture of Red Cross will be given by Mrs. Frank Fairweather, followed by short talks by individual chairmen. Services to be ex plained are home service, the blood program, motor can teen, disaster production, Gray Lady and Gray Men ser vice to Camp White VA do miciliary, hospital service, Gray Lady service to the com munity, and first aid and wa ter safety. Anyone interested in learn ing more about Red Cross ac tivities is welcome to attend this meeting.
