It is definitely not her business to analyze her sister's marital and economic situation, or to hand down judgments. ; Wonwm like Rose, who are seething with criticins, griev ances and annoyances alfcut others, geeds to look inwari, rot outward, for the source of tneir unhappiness. They tend lessness and anxiety tney feei. They want to straighten out the lives of others, but can do nothing with their own. Ethel appears to be of sound mind and certainly has suf ficient maturity to know what she wants out of life. We get the strong impression that she has had far more happiness out of her marriage than Rose has had out of marriage to her successful husband. It is impossible to read into this case the source of Rose's difficulty. We car. only say that she should be aware that she has one. It is very possible that she would be much better off if she had to go to work like her sister. It might give her a sense of accomplish ment. It would certainly help take her mind off matters that don't concern' her. Ethel should use the money as she chooses without guilt feelings about her father's money. Undoubtedly her fath er hoped it would contribute to her welfare and well-being She is the sole judge of what that involves.
