A potluck dinner was held at the Masonic temple at 6:30 o'clock with many members and visitors' present. Auxiliary ins Activities Members of the Medford Lions auxiliary held their first fall meeting Wednesday evening, September 9, at the home of rTrs. Earl Miller, 617 Park street, to formulate plans -for fall and winter ac tivities. Mrs. Anthony Cappel- lo and Mrs. W. B. Dziarmaga assisted the hostess. : Mrs. Dziarmaga, president, gave final details for the club's rummage sale to be held at the Fehl building, Saturday, September 12, at & a.m. Mrs. H. L. Endersby is in charge. . Mrs. Eston Humphrey was appointed ntembership chair man, and Mrs. Dziarmaga, Mrs. Cappello, Mrs. Herbert Seitz and Mrs. Edward Setz- ler were; selected to prepare the annual budget. Participation in the United Crusade luncheon given , by the: Medford Lions' club and scheduled for October 12 was discussed. Mrs. -Louie Ruhl was ' appointed chairman of this committee. Plans werfe started for a Halloween cratume party for which Medford Lions will be guests. Mrs. Humphrey, historian, read a paper relating to the organization of the auxiliary in June, 1936, and traced ac tivities and events for the past 23 years. ' Outdoor Party Honors Women; Birthday Marked Gold Hill - Mr. and Mrs. William Moser have" ..been hosts for a number of outdoor super . parties" at their home this summer. Mrs. Lucy Eddington and her sister, Mrs. Ethel Edding ton, were honored at a fare well party in the Moser yard August 30. The two women, who have lived in Gold Hill for 18 years, recently sold their home on Second avenue and plan to move to Medford soon. Guests at the reception were asked to sign the orig inal guest book which had been used at the Gannaway's wedding. Miss Louise Erick son took charge of the guest book. MrSi Gannaway's wed ding gown, together with a number of wedding gifts, which were on -display, brought forth much comment and admiration during the af ternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Gannaway were married at Panora, Iowa, September 5, 1899, and then went to Webb, Iowa, where they made their home for 10 years and operated a general store. In 1909 they sold the store and moved to Medford, purchasing a pear orchard on the Hillcrest-Phoe-nix road. Eagle Point - More than 200 visitors a 1 1 e n d e d the first standard flower show of Eagle Point Garden club, held Sep tember 3 at the Oasis. - ; '"Autumn Splendor" was the theme, portrayed by a mani kin draped in gold satin, sur rounded by vases of flowers in autumn colors. This was ar ranged in the center of the large room. Honorable men tion was given by the judges to the display. Autumn leaves, baskets and gourds decorated the windows and pillars. Mrs. Glenn Clymer was in charge of the tea table. The table was decorated with a centerpiece of fruit arranged in a footed crystal bowl with white candles in crystal can dle holders on a red hand wov en linen cloth loaned by Mrs. C. H. Young. The afternoon program con sisted of a style show of fall fashions given by Town and Country shop of Eagle Point. The evening program was vo cal selections by M a y n a r d Hadley, accompanied by Mrs. Keith Krambeal. Celia and Diane Putman ' and Donald Carnes presented several ac cordion numbers.
