While there, the group went
to Crater lake. Mr. and Mrs,
Frank Robertson of Scotts
dale, Ariz., were guests July
25 and Mr. and Mrs. Scott
and sons were house guests
for a few days' and left for
their home in Highland,
Calif., July 19.
Mrs. Bill.Wyatt, the for
mer Bunny Nelms, has gone
to Germany to join her hus
band who is in the Armed
Forces there.
Mr. arid Mrs. Charles Nel
son and son, Jimmy, of Baker,
Mont.', are spending, a few
days visiting Nelson's sister,
Mrs. Elizabeth Ottoson, and
their niece and family, Mr,
and Mrs. Oscar Frei, and their
nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Ottoson, and family of Eagle
Point. The Nelson's stopped
in Seattle, Wash., to visit
relatives and will continue
to California to visit relatives
before going home.
The Eagle Point Commun
ity church held its annual
church picnic at the Eagle
Point park recently. Celia
and Dianne Putman played
several numbers on their ac
cordians and sang. Marty
Hefly and Petra Chamberlain
sang a couple of selections
following the potluck dinner.
Sack races and organized
games were on the program.
About 40 people attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Froman Good
man of Paxton, Ind., and Mr.
and Mrs. ' Dimmie Goodman
of Terre Haute, Ind., were
house guests for 11 days of
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hilderbrand
of Eagle Point. The Hilder
brands and the , Goodmans
have been friends since 1917.
-Mrs." Scott Boyer has re
turned from a 10-day vaca
tion in California. Mrs. Boyer
met five of her friends in
Eureka, Calif., and they went
to Willets, where they took
the "Skunk Train" to Ft.
Bragg, Calif.
Mrs. Cleo Cartwright re
turned home Friday from
spending . eight days in the
Sacred Heart hospital as a
medical patient.
" Robert L. Ticer's sister,
Mrs. Gladys Wertz, was a
house guest of Mr. and Mrs.
Ticer at their home, 425 South
B st. Mrs. Wertz was on her
way home . to Ocean Lake,
Ore., from Portland where
she underwent medical treat
ment and spent five days with
her brother.
Friends of Mr. and Mrs.
Jesse McFadden arrived at
their home recently with a
potluck dinner in observance
of ' their birthdays. Henry
Hess, Elsie Flury and Nellie
Hess were also celebrating
their birthdays. Those attend
