Pleads Guilty- Victor Wil liam Bidache, 52, of 30 South Central ave., pleaded guilty to a vagrancy charge in dis trict court here Wednesday following his arrest at the county courthouse by a Med ford detective. He was fined $25, according to the report. and confined to ail in lieu of payment. Bidache was ar rested Sunday evening as a material witness in the death of William B. Sights Crane-A large grey and white crane-like bird with a wing-span estimated at 5 feet was sighted by Spencer Buffington early Wednesday morning in a tree, near the Buffington. home, on North Phoenix, rd. The large, bird's belly and breast were white and its back and wings grey, the boy reported. It had a yellow beak and long neck and legs. Midget Drivers-Medford po lice Wednesday received two reports from unidentified per sons concerning teen-agers op erating midget motor cars in what was considered a hazard ous manner; One report con cerned activity in the area of Wilson Elementary school, Grand and Corona aves., and the other, a situation at Hoo ver Elementary school, 2740 Siskiyou blvd. '" Contaminated Water Med ford City Councilman Edward Hall, Ward I, of 712 East Jackson st., complained to Medford police Wednesday evening that some small boys were playing and swimming in the contaminated waters of Bear creek under the East Main st. bridge. The patrol man who mvestigated report ed the children had departed before his arrival, and sug gested that signs warning of contamination be placed along the creek.
