Mar- chant. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. McKim, 111 South Keeneway drive, and Mr. Marchant's parents are Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Mar chant, Kerby, Ore. The ceremony was held at eight o'clock in the evening at St Paul's Lutheran church, Grants Pass, with 125 guests attending. Mr. Marchant and his bride made a wedding trip to the coast and now are liv ing at 433 South Grapt st. here. The Rev. Hugo V. Gurney read the double-ring marriage ceremony, and Mr. McKim gave his daughter . in mar riage. She wore a princess style gown of white rose de sign brocaded satin and her fingertip length veil was held by a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a white Bible, a gift of the bridegroom's- mother, and an orchid encircled with shattered carnations, baby breath and ivy. ' ' Miss Judi Ann-Young, Coos Bay, was maid-of-honor and bridesmaid and matron were Miss Susan Knight. and Family Returns After Vacation Mr. and Mrs. -Vernon Czmowski, route. 1, box 338, Gold Hill, recently "returned from a three week trip to South Dakota and Minnesota. Also making the trip were the couple's seven-year-old twin daughters, Janice and Joan. The family visited Yellow stone National park en route to Watertown, S. D. where they visited Mrs. Czmowski's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Pieschke. They also visited her sisters in Minneapolis pri or to returning via Reno, Nevada. Miss Young's gown was Kelly green with mint green cummerbund, and the other attendants wore mint green frocks with Kelly green cum merbunds. They carried nose gays of carnations and ivy. James E. Eggers, Ashland, was best man and Myron D. Marchant and Hilton C. Mar; chant, brothers of the bride groom, were ushers. Miss Kathy Barr, Portland, was soloist and Mrs. William Krause was at the organ. Arrangements of white gladiolus and ivy decorated the church. For the reception held in the church, Mrs. Clif ford Horn loaned an heirloom silver service. Miss Judy An derson took charge of the guest book,- Miss Barbara Og- deri served the wedding cake, cut by Mrs. Marvin Darby. Mrs. Hilton Marchant and Mrs. Myron Marchant poured punch and coffee. The table decorations were in mint green, white and, silver with garlands of ivy. For her daughter's wedding Mrs.' McKim wore a navy blue linen sheath with white duster and her flowers were pink baby roses. The bride groom's mother wore a print ed jersey frock of blue shades with pink accessories and cor sage of pink rosebuds. The newlyweds traveled to the coast, the bride wearing a blue linen sheath with match ing -jacket and white acces sories. The bride attended Med ford High -school and South ern Oregon college and is on the staff of Rogue Valley Memorial hospital. " A Sunday, July 26, 1959 Catholic Ceremony A(edsPair Miss Michela Sue Cruz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Self, 1730 North River side avenue, became the bride of Gene Arlo Dalbec, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Dalbec, 101 Western avenue, in a serv- Ice held Wednesday, July 15, in Sacred Heart church. The Kev. John Ilg per formed the ceremony at 6:30 o'clock in the evening before a small number of guests. Miss Beatrice Zieman, cous in of the bridegroom, attend' ed the bride and Donald D. Campbell was best man. Frank R. Dairy, Rogue River, cousin of the bride, gave her in marriage. She wore a white nylon dress with a shoulder-length veil and carried a bouquet of pansies and snapdragons. Miss Ziemann wore an em broidered blue nylon frock. Lea Anne Paton, half-sister of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a dress of pink ny lon and carried sweet peas. Baskets of gladioli, carna tions, sweet peas and ferns decorated the church. Miss Toni Adams, a student at St. Mary's school, played the or gan. Fifty guests attended the reception which was given by the bridegroom's parents at the family home. Mrs. Dalbec made the wedding cake. Miss Nancy Land, Central Point, caught the bride's bouquet. The bride is a student at St. Mary's school. Her husband, who attended Medford high school,- is stationed in Hawaii with the army. Members of the immediate family and close friends attended the service which was read by Elder R. R. Bilof, pastor. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Warren Strang, 1031 Mt. Pitt avenue, Medford, and Marshall Dopkins, Arbuckle, Calif. She wore a white lace dress of sheath design and carried a bouquet of white orchids. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Young, West Valley Viewroad, Ash land. He attended Walla Wal la college, was graduated from Southern Oregon college, and is now studying dentistry at the College of Medical Evan gelism, Loma Linda, Calif. The bride was graduated from Milo academy and at tended the University of Southern California and La Sierra college, Arlington, Calif. Merkel attended a farewell reception held in their honor Wednesday evening -at the Red Cross building. The affair was arranged by the board of directors of the Jackson Coun ty Tuberculosis and Health as sociation with Mrs. R. B. Knight, vice president, in charge. About 75 attended. Mrs. Knight presented the Merkels with a large sHver btfwl as. a parting gift from the members of the board of directors of the association. She stated Dr. Merkel has worked very closely and in an advisory capacity to the association throughout the 21 years he has been health offi cer and he has won the "af fection and admiration" of hundreds of volunteers in the health field.. She stated she spoke for these volunteers and the citizens of Jackson coun ty in expressing regret that he is leaving and the hope he will be happy in his new po sition. Tay lor, Miss Helen Bullis, Mrs. John Keaveny and Mrs. Hen ry Padgham, all volunteers with many years of service in the health field. The table centerpiece was arranged by Mrs. M. O.-Grove and consisted of an oriental motif using yellow, gold and orange gladiolus, carina leaves, mats and figurines. Miss Sandra Hubbard was in charge of the guest book. Others assisting on the com mittee included Mrs. Jack Walker, Mrs. Ray Frisbie, Mrs. Richard Watson, Mrs. Ivan Burton, Mrs. Padgham and Mrs. Chester Guches. Mother and Daughter Return From South Mrs. Albert Johnson and daughter, Gloria Jean, 2877 Springbrook road, have re turned to Medford after a trip to southern California. They visited Disneyland, and other vacation spots. En route north they spent some time in San Francisco. Lt. and Mrs. Perry were married Sunday, July 19, in Montevilla Methodist church, Portland. The bride is the former Miss Marion Swaggert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne L. Swaggert. Miss Janet Perry, the bridegroom's sister, was one of the attend ants. The newlyweds are spend ing their honeymoon on the Oregon coast and are expect ed in Medford today to visit the Perrys. Following a brief stay here, they will return to Portland and soon will leave by air for Ft. George Meade, Md., where the officer will report for duty with the United States Air Force. AM - Chaplain Reads Wedding Rites Miss Rosella June Golden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Golden, 966 Gilman road, became the bride of Raymond Duane Hinshaw, son of Ray mand Hinshaw,, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Henrietta Steppe, Craig, Alaska, Friday, July 17. The single-ring ceremony was performed by Chaplain Roger Pryor, Camp White, at 7:30 p.m. in the Golden resi dence. The father of the bride gave her in marriage. She wore a gown of blue lace over taf feta with long-sleeved bolero. Her bouquet was of gardenias WEDDING...
