o Reeves Funeral Ta Be Wednesday Hollywood - (CPD - Actors Alan Ladd and Gig Young are among honorary pallbear ers named for the funeral Wednesday of George Reeves, 45, itar of the '-'Superman" television series. Mrs. Helen Lescher Bessolo, GalesburgIll., Reeves' neith er, said her son's body will .lie in state today and Tues day with services to be held Wednesday afternoon. The actor's mother arrived here last week after being informed that Reeves shot himself to death in his home June 16. She has hired film land Attorney Jerry Giesler to investigate the case, claim ing she doesn't believe her son could have taken his own life despite the finding of sui cide by both police and the coroner's office. Strauss Expected In GOP Cabinet Washington (CPD Assist ant Senate Republican leader Thomas H. Kuchel (Calif.) be lieves the 1960 GOP presi dential nominee may an nounce he will put Lewis L. Strauss in his cabinet. This would make the Sen ate rejection of Strauss as commerce secretary an issue in the campaign, Kuchel said. He made the statements in an interviewo with Sen. Clair Engle (D-Calif.). Engle expressed doubf that Strauss' rejection would be come a 1960 campaign issue. Kuchel noted reports from Vienna quoting the Russian press as saying Strauss' de feat was ah indication of "weakness on the part of the President." ' Race Driver Held On Drunk Charges Norwalk, Calif. - (UPD - Race driver Troy Ruttman, 29, win iicr of the 1952 Indianapolis 600-mile classic, was arrested on drunk and disturbing the peace charges Sunday filed by his wife, Beverly Mae.
