Strauss' rejection would be
come a 1960 campaign issue.
Kuchel noted reports from
Vienna quoting the Russian
press as saying Strauss' de

"weakness on the part of the

Race Driver Held
On Drunk Charges
Norwalk, Calif. - (UPD - Race
driver Troy Ruttman, 29, win
iicr of the 1952 Indianapolis
600-mile classic, was arrested
on drunk and disturbing the
peace charges Sunday filed by
his wife, Beverly Mae.
The driver was booked on
the misdemeanor charges and
released on $150 bail. Mrs.
Huttman charged him with
felony wife beafing last year
and later filed for divorce.
