Miss Ora Cox, known to hundreds of valley residents' because of school
days, comes from Bushnell, III., each summer to spend a short time in
Medford. When she retired in 1948, Miss Cox had been principal of
Lincoln school for 28 years and before that had been on the faculty of
Washington school, including two years, as principal. Miss Cox is pictured
in the home of Mrs. George B. Canode, Crown avenue, alco retired
teacher, with whom she lived before leaving Medford. -

Mr. and Mrs. Martin W. Sax, who left for their home in Manhattan Beach, Calif., Wednesday
were honored at a number of dinners during a stay here as guests of Mr. and Mrs. B. C.
Tennant, 325! East Jackson street. Mrs. Sax, the former Mrs. Marjorie Skeeters Hopkins, was
Girl Scout executive for this area for many years and is widely known. Her marriage to Mr.
, Sax took place this spring. Mrs. Sax teaches a Madrona school in Torrance, Calif., and this'
spring was honored by'the parent-teacher association with presentation of a life membership.
