MAIL TRIBUNE, Medford, Or. A Sunday, May 10, 19S9 Two Events Scheduled ' Two events are on the cal endar this week for Medford Sojourners club. Wednesday, May 13, 25 members will travel to Klamath Falls to be guests of the Klamath Falls Sojourners club at a Medford day luncheon. Thursday, May 14, there will be a regular dessert luncheon, meeting and cards at 12:30 p.m. at the Girls Community club. The trip to Klamath Falls is a traditional exchange event and will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the Pelican club. A bus has been chartered for. transpor tation and members are re quested to be at the depot by 8:45 a.m. There is still space for a few more passengers on the hus and those who wish to make reservations may do so by calling Mrs. Elmer Ness SPring 3-4308. Mrs. Dwight Crosier, So journer president, will pre side over Thursdays meeting Tnartive and Drosoective mem bers are cordially invited. A prospective member is any woman who has lived in Med ford or vicinity for two years or less. The hospitality chair man, Mrs. Dee Wood, SPring 3-5649, may be called for in formation. x Ashland Woman Named President State Mothers Mrs. Charles Forrest, Ash land, was elected president of the Oregon State uouege Mothers club at the group's annual meeting and campus visitation at OSC last week end. She succeeds Mrs. D. G, Dick. Portland. . Mrs. Philip Schroeder, Klamath Falls, was elected vice-president and Mrs. E. F. Kirkwood, - Salem, treasurer. Mrs. J. K.'Roe, Corvallis, was re-elected secretary. . Mrs. E. M. Stansfield, Med ford, was re-elected district representative from District 5, which includes Jackson coun ty. ' Miss Diane Meyers, Rose burg, was announced winner of the Miss OSC title. She will be' the official student hostess for the colleges . Local members of the club report tht 21 full tuition schol arships of $252 each - a total of $5,292 were awarded. Among the winners was Miss Maralee Chisholm, Medford. The Medford club provided money for one scholarship. Two honor scholarships went to Walter K. Stoeffler, Shedd, and Miss Jacquelyn Wright, Portland. Mrs. John A. Carter, Med ford, was a member of the scholarship committee, head ed by Mrs. Fred Sbideler, Corvallis. A' large group of parents went to Corvallis for the an nual Mothers Week end fes- tivities. Included were Mrs. Garner W. Couey, Mrs. Ben , F. Greaser, Mrs. Leila Gilman, Mrs. Richard D. Werner, Mrs. N. R. Hillyer, Mrs. Paul Lea, Mrs. Lyle Anderson, Mrs. W. S. Spence, Mr. and.- Mrs. Crocker Hunter, Dr. and Mrs. C. L. Coyle, Mr. and .Mrs Allen A. Eastgate, Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Huggins, Mrs. A. W. Klatt, Mrs. Warren Ham lin, Mrs. Delbert Clifford, Mrs. Jack K. James, Mrs. A. Z. Dean, Mrs. Margaret Long and Mrs. Carter. Attending from Ashland were Mrs. Charles Forrest, : Mrs. Harvey Soreson, Mrs. Esther Swift and Mrs. H. S. Ingle. Others on the campus for the week end were Mrs. Frank C. Thompson, Talent; Mrs. Harry Elden, Central Point and Mrs. Fred Green, Eagle Point. Couple Honored On Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Jack McNeil were honored at a surprise party on their 25th wedding anniversary Tuesday night, May 5, at their home in Holly wood orchards. They were presented a set of silverware from the guests. Coffee . and an anniversary cake decorated in "silver and pink were served. Attending were Mrs. Mabel Jones, Patty and Sharon Mc Neil, Shirley Smith and son, Ronny, Mr. and .
