I x ' " ; APOLOGIES IN ORDER Mrs. John Romeo and daugh ter Angela, 11 months, smile at their dog, a German shepherd, after the dog's good name was cleared. Angela was treated two weeks ago in Martinez, Calif., for sus pected dog bite and the shepherd was assumed to be the villain. But the wound didn't heal and when it was probed, a buckshot pellet was found embedded in An gela's leg. Police are investigating. GOLD HILL Easter Visitors Listed By MRS. CLYDE KELL Gold Hill - Mr. and Mrs. George Tulare and Mrs. Fan nie Kiea spent Easter Sunday as guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Oleson and daughter, Carol, in Medford. Mrs. Edith Thompson was hostess Easter Sunday to a family dinner at her home on Fourth ave. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Swind ler and daughters, Karen and Barbara, Mr. and Mrs. James Swindler and sons, Gary and Mike, all from Medford, and her mother, Mrs. Hannah Routh, Gold Hill. Mrs. Dave Parker was hon ored at a dinner Easter Sun day given at the home of her husband's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Parker, Lamp man rd., in oSsefance of her birthday anniversary March 28. Attending besides the hon oree and hosts were, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Davis, Mr. and Mrs. George Juveland all from Central Point, Miss Lin da Parker, and Dave Parker. Physicial Examinations Planned Wednesday Eagle Point - Pre-school physical examination and im munization will be held by the county health department at the Eagle Point Grade school, Wednesday, April 8, starting at 9 a.m. Appointments may be made by calling Mrs. Oscar Frei, HlUcrest 6-3381, the health chairman of the Eagle Point Elementary Parent Teachers association reported. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Ross and children, Dick and Glen da, of Highway 99 north, re turned recently from a vaca tion in Rio Vista, Calif., where they were guests at the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Amo Mil ler. They then went to Spo kane, Wash., where they visit ed relatives. The Ross family had as their guests over the Easter week end, his nephew, Bud Williams, U. S. Navy, who was enroute from Spokane, Wash, to his Naval base near San Francisco. HILTS Easter Services Held By MRS. M. F. CAVIN Hilts-Easter services were held at the Hilts Community Bible church at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Shaw giving the Easter message. Special music was by a junior girls choir under the direction of Mrs. Carol Dav enport and Mrs. Harry Burns. Despite a cold windy after noon the children of the com munity gathered at the com munity center to hunt Easter eggs hidden earlier by mem bers of the Hilts Volunteer fire department. This was the seventh annual egg hunt the fire department has sponsor ed. The Community club met Thursday, March 26, with Mrs. Frank Graves as hostess. Playing canasta were Mrs. Ozzie Bernheisel, Mrs. Art Blanchard, Mrs. Orville Rife, Mrs. Fred Haynes, Mrs. Art Hartman, Mrs. Joe Caston, Mrs. M. G. King and Mrs William Wiley. High prize went to Mrs Haynes, second high to Mrs Wiley and low to Mrs. Caston. The parent and teacher con ferences were held on Tues- Shirley Kell was honored at a party given at her home April 1, in observance of her birthday. Guests included Patty Washburn, Nancy Meis ter, and Carolyn Lamb. Students of the Lone Pine school, Medford, under the di rection of their music direct or, Richard L. Michaelis, presented a musical program consisting of band selections and choral numbers at the Hanby school gymnasium last Wednesday morning. Joe Walsh and a deputy from the Jackson County Sheriff's . off ice, Medford, visited the Gold Hill schools recently to talk on safety habits concerning, school busses. H. D. Force, president of the Gold Hill PTA has an nounced that a meeting of the unit and the annual Patrick school spring program will be held Thursday, April 9, at 1 p.m. ' Mrs. Ogden Kellogg and Mrs. Donald Arseth will be in charge of refreshments. Hamlin Motors is Franchise Dealer For Triumph Here The appointment of Ham lin Motor company as a fran chised Triumph dealer in Medford was recently an nounced by Dorothy Deen, executive vice president . of Cal Sales, western importer distributor of th British line. Triumph models include the TR3 sports roadsters and hardtops, the new sedan and the Triumph estate wagon. A 100 - horsepower, 110 miles per hour car, the TR3 is now second in national sales in the sports category, it was reported. The Triumph is well known in racing and rallies, as well as in economy runs. TR3 ran first, second, third, fourth and fifth in the 1956 Alpine Rally. At Le Mans it averaged 74 miles per hour during the grueling run, with a 'gas consumption average of over 34 miles per gallon. Triumph sedans and estate wagons, recently introduced in the United States, . have world wide distribution and are sold and serviced in 105 countries. Thompson left Thursday evening for Med ford to care for her daughter, Mrs. Charles Koyt, Snd new granddaughter, Charla Mar-lene. Mrs. Rodney Eastman re turned home Friday from the Rogue Valley hospital, where she had been a patient the past week. Pete Leaser and family of Orick visited recently with relatives. Mrs. Margaret Ferguson is visiting in Sacramento at the home of her son, Philip Fer guson and family.
