Fos ter, 115 Clark st., Medford, was flown to Portland this morning for emergency medi cal treatment and possible sur gery at the Veterans Admini stration hospital. Police said Hartley's wife, Mayis Bernice Hartley, about four months pregnant, was taken to a doctor after she com plained of pain in her abdo men. RAY HARRY fROBINSON A requiem mass for Ray Harry Robinson, 66, who died Feb. 4, was offered this morn ing at Sacred Heart Catholic church by the Rev. John Ilg. Committtal was in Hillcrest Memorial park. Mr. Robinson was born Aug. .5, 1892, and was a vet eran of World War I. Survi vors include two nieces, Mrs. Margaret Hill of Newton, Iowa, and Mrs. .Virginia Kriss of Des Moines, Iowa. ALONZO WRIGHT Ashland. -. Alanzo Vernon Wright, 73, of 346 Iowa st., Ashland, died in Centralia, Wash., Feb. 12. He was born Aug. 19, 1885, in Morrow county, Ore. Survivors include his wife, Eva Wright, Ashland: two daughters, Mrs. Jewell Hager, Heppner, and Mrs. Cleo Wil lard, Anchorage, Alaska; four grandchildren; two brothers, Delbert Wright and Orion Wright, and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Devine, all Heppner. - tFuneral arrangements will be announced by Litwiller's Funeral home, Ashland. MARY FA YE WYATT Mary Faye Wyatt,. 10-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Wyatt of Prospect, Ore., died at a local hospital Wed nesday. She was born in Valliant, Okla., Feb. 6, 1949, and had lived in southern Oregon for the past five years. She at tended the Prospect school. She is survived by her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Wy att, Prospect; two brothers, Gene and Grady Jay; two sis ters, Ida Mae and Opal, all of Prospect: maternal grandfa ther, C. K. Barr, of Valliant, Okla.; and paternal grandpar ents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Wyatt, Millerton, Okla. Funeral services will be held at Perl Funeral home Monday at 1 p.m. The Rev. George L. Fitch will officiate. Burial will be in Siskiyou Memorial park. International Tel e p h o n e spacked the upturn by jump ing four points on receipt of an Air Force contract for a communications system. Chrysler pointed higher on prospects of an end of the Pittsburgh Plate Glass strike which would permit the com pany to resume production at a faster pace. Steels rose on Mrs. Lewin, Former Resident, Dies Mrs. Gertrude Estelle Lew in, 72, former Medford resi dent, died in a Cutler City, Ore., rest home Feb. 3 after a short illness. She was born in Silver Creek, Neb., Dec. 20, 1886. Mr. and Mrs. Lewin moved to Cutler City last October from Medford. ' She was a charter member of the Shady Cove Grange and joined Phoenix Grange after moving to Medford. She was chaplain for the Phoenix Grange for two years, and be came a state Grange member in 1954. Mrs. Lewin recently trans ferred her membership from Jackson county to the North Lincoln Grange at Delake, and to the Lincoln county Pomona Grange. Funeral services were held at North Lincoln Funeral home Friday, Feb. 6, with in terment in Taft cemetery. The Rev. Paul Dickey officiated. 'Grange burial services were given by members of the North Phoenix Grange. Frank Alley Dies In California Home Frank R. Alley, 71, of Alley Lumber company, died at his home in Pacific Palisades, Calif., Thursday morning. A pioneer lumberman in the Pacific northwest and the southwest, Mr. Alley with his late brother, Jack Alley, founded the Alley Brothers Lumber company here in 1940. He also founded other retail lumber yards in south ern California. He visited in the Medford area on several occasions. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers dona tions may be made to some charitable organization. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday in For est Lawn cemetery, Glendale, Calif. Dance Planned After Basketball Game A dance for all high school students will be held at the Young Men's Christian asso ciation after the basketball game tonight. General chairman for the dance is Miss Dewanda Win chell. She is being assisted by adult advisor Mrs. Edith Bak er. Of the amount, $900,000 went into the profit sharing trust fund and $500,000 into the retirement trust. The prof it sharing sum amounted to approximately five weeks' base pay for each of the 1.976 participants . in the program. Participation in the pro gram by full-time employees begins after three years' serv ice with the conjpany. Profit sharing funds are credited to the account of each partici pant, who is given an annual statement of his total credits and a complete accounting of the performance of the fund for the preceding year. The law directs all public school districts to provide textbooks for use by grade school students in "standard Schools." Dr. Judah Bierman of Port land, Oregon chairman of the American Civil Liberties Union, said the union consid ers a court test of the consti tutionality of the law neces sary and proper. He said: "Supplying textbooks at public expense for use in parochial schools breaches the wall of separation of church and state. Such action con stitutes a form of state aid" to religious institutions. The ACLU believes the sanctity of religion and the integrity of the state are both best pro tected when the activities of both are kept separate." Three Bodies Found In Klamath River Crescent City, Calif. - (IPD -Bodies of three men missing since Feb. 7 have been found in the Klamath river about eight miles east of the city of Klamath. The dead were Henry Puzz, 32, Joseph Roberts, 55, and Harry McCovey, 34, all of Klamath.
