i I Thw Couples Married in Double Rites A double ceremony Janu ary 1 at First Presbyterian church. Central Point, mar ried Miss Carol Kaye Bailey to Arthur Terrance Brereton, and Miss Marilyn May Bailey to Eugene Dow Wright. The brides are daughters of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Bailey, 157 South Keeneway drive. Mr. Brereton is a son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Brereton, 161 Ross lane, and Mr. Wright's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Herbert E. Wright, Butte Falls. The double-ring rites took place at two o'clock in the afternoon, with the Rev. Bruce J. Weber officiating. Mr. Wright gave both daugh ters in marriage, escorting Miss Marilyn down the aisle first, and returning to escort the second bride. The. sisters had attended Central Point Presbyterian church when the family lived in that town. - Caesar Muzzioli played the wedding music on an accor dion, and accompanied Miss Donna McFarland, Klamath Falls, who was soloist. The brides wore matching ballerina length growns of Al encon type lace fashioned princess style with scoop necklines, three - quarter length sleeves and full circle skirts. Their shoulder-length veils were of tulle caught by bandeaux of sheer braid trim med with braid flowers. They carried identical bouquets of white carnations and pink rosebuds. Each couple served as at tendants for the other. Ushers were Darrel Brereton, brother of Arthur Brereton, and Ron ald Lapp, Ashland. About 125 guests attended the wedding and the reception which followed in the church reception room. The church and reception decorations were in pink and white. Identical wedding cakes decorated in pink and white had been made for the two brides by Mrs. Doris Burkhart, Central Point. Mrs. Leota Tuttle cut and served the cake for the new ly - married Mr. and Mrs. Bre reton, using an heirloom knife loaned by Mrs. Carl Bennett. Mrs. James Higinbotham, Cen tral Point, presided . t their gift table, and Mrs. Robert Hill, Sams Valley, took charge of their guest book. Mrs. Paul Davis, Shady Cove, cut and served the wed ding cake of Mr. and Mrs. Wright, using a kijfe belong ing to the bride's mother. Mrs. Dwaine Richardson, Provolt, Mr. Wright's sister, took charge of their guest book and Miss Lydia Tetrick, Klamath Fall, their gift table. Both couples traveled north for brief honeymoons. For traveling Mrs. Wright wore a beige dress with brown ac cessories; Mrs. Brereton's traveling attire was a green knit suit worn with black ac cessories. Mr. and Mrs. Bre reton are living at 10 Portland avenue, and the Wrights as 205 Summit avenue. Mrs. Wright attended Shady Cove and Prospect schools and is a senior in education at Southern Oregon college. Mr. Wright attended Central Point and Butte Falls schools, and Southern Oregon college. He served four years with the United States Navy and is em ployed by Elk Lumber com pany as an assistant engineer. Mrs. Brereton is a graduate of Crater High School. Mr. Bre reton is a graduate of Medford High school, attended South ern Oregon college and is on the staff of Littrell Parts company. Women's Group Names Officers Mrs. Lois Stephen was elected president 'of the In surance Women of Jackson county at the meeting Janu ary 6 at the Jackson hotel. Also elected were Miss Jacqueline Walker, vice-president; and Mrs. Pat Haven, secretary-treasurer. Plans were discussed for the Bosses banquet to be held January 20 in the Top Flight room, Rogue Valley Country club. The event will start at 7 pjm. with a cocktail hour and the no-host banquet will begin at 8 p.m. Members of the insurance profession, both employers and employes, are invited to attend. Home Rites Wed Couple Eagle Point Miss Lenita Gaye Nelms, daughter of Mrs. Erlene Beckstead, Douglas, Ariz., and Donald William Wyatt, son of Mrs. Nelson Smith, Crater Lake, were mar ried Friday, December 26, at the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Porter Al len, Butte Falls Star Route, Eagle Point. The Rev. Howard Simmonds of the Butte Falls Community Bible church officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Porter Allen. She wore a white satin bridal gown and a tiara of seed pearls held her finger-tip length veil. Her bouquet of red roses was carried on a white Bible. The bridesmaid, Miss Anna Carlson, wore a red dress with a white corsage. Max McKinney, Medford was best man for the bride groom. The brides' aunt wore a navy blue dress with a white gardenia corsage and Mrs. Smith wore a black suit with white gardenias. Mrs. T. B. Freeman, aunt of the bride, poured coffee, Miss Sandra Smith, Crater Lake, poured punch, and Mrs. Irvin McKeen baked and serv ed the wedding cake. The wedding and reception was attended by approximate ly 30 guests including Mr. Smith, Crater Lake, Miss Jo anne Mole, San Francisco, cousin of the bridegroom, J. S. Allen, Phoenix, Ariz., uncle of the bride. The newlyweds left imme diately after the reception for Fort Gordon, Ga., where the bridegroom is stationed in the armed forces. The bride has made her home with her aunt and uncle, and attended Eagle Point High school. She has been employed by Western Union. The bridegroom v was graduated from Crater High school and entered the service after graduation.
