Parties Planned For Oak Grove Two Oak Grove district groups will hold Christmas parties this week. The annual Christmas party for Oak Grove Neighborhood club will be held at the home of Mrs. Lyle Thurman, 10 Fair Oaks, Tuesday, Decem ber 16, at 1:30 p.m. There will be an exchange of Christmas gifts; names will be drawn for new "secret neighbors" and the names of former ones revealed. Grove Garden club will hold a Christmas dinner and party at Oak Grove School cafeteria Wednesday, Decem ber 17, at 6:30 p.m. An exchange of gifts pre ferably for the garden is planned, as well as entertain ment. Members may call Mrs. Ben Belknap for information. Art, Millinery Classes to Hold Exhibit Tuesday An exhibit by the millinery and oil painting classes of the adult education classes car ried on in Medford public schools will be held Tuesday, December 16, in Room 342 of Hedrick Junior High school at 7:30 p.m. The exhibits will be proj ects that have been complet ed' by members of the two classes. Mrs. Lucille Collins was instructor for the milli nery .class with Mrs. Vera Backstrom, oil painting teacher. Refreshments will be served. Knights of Pythias, at a meeting Mon day in the Pythian building. Other officers elected were Charles A. Lasher, vice-chan cellor; Emil O. Johnson Jr., prelate; Rae Jack, master-at-arms; Edward E. Bostwick, secretary; Ora E. G. Meyers, financial secretary; Dun Lacey, master of work; Earl Locke, inner guard; Charles A. Hawkins, outer guard, and Mr. Lacey, three-year term on the board of trustees. Roland G. Beach was ap pointed by the grand chan cellor of Oregon's Knights of Pythias to serve as district deputy grand chancellor for 1959; Mr. Bostwick was nam ed to serve as lodge deputy for the ensuing term. He is grand master - at - arms for Oregon Knights of Pythias. Final plans were complet ed for the annual Christmas party to be held Tuesday, December 16, starting at 6:30 pjn. with a potluck din ner. All auxiliaries of the Knights of Pythias and Pyth ian Sisters, their families and friends- are invited to join the festivities. The lodge voted to partici pate in the Jackson County Centennial celebration pro gram. At the weekly meeting of the lodge set for Monday at 8 p.m., Don Lacey, chancel lor commander, states that the charter will be draped in memory of Marcus Legg, who died Thursday. Thirty-two Players Take Part in Game Thirty-two players compet ed in Wednesday's duplicate bridge game of Riverside Bridge club. High scores were won in the north-south position by Mrs. Berg Marten and Mrs. Fred Rehling, first; Mrs. Van Gilbert and Mrs. E. K. Rick- er, second; Mrs. John Daugh erty and Mrs. Sam Richard son, third; and Mrs. Frank Perl and Paul Hatton, fourth. Top scores in the east-west position were received by Mrs. W. W. Stevenson and Mrs. Glen Harrison, first; Mrs. Jack Mitchell and Mrs. Frank R. Baker, second; and Mrs. Yvonne Dalen and Mrs. Mary Trout tied with M r s. William Knope and William Isaacs for third.
