For Oak Grove
Two Oak Grove district
groups will hold Christmas
parties this week.
The annual Christmas party
for Oak Grove Neighborhood
club will be held at the home
of Mrs. Lyle Thurman, 10
Fair Oaks, Tuesday, Decem
ber 16, at 1:30 p.m.
There will be an exchange
of Christmas gifts; names will
be drawn for new "secret
neighbors" and the names of
former ones revealed.
Grove Garden club will
hold a Christmas dinner and
party at Oak Grove School
cafeteria Wednesday, Decem
ber 17, at 6:30 p.m.
An exchange of gifts pre
ferably for the garden is
planned, as well as entertain
ment. Members may call Mrs.
Ben Belknap for information.

and oil painting classes of the
adult education classes car
ried on in Medford public
schools will be held Tuesday,
December 16, in Room 342 of
Hedrick Junior High school
at 7:30 p.m.
The exhibits will be proj
ects that have been complet
ed' by members of the two
classes. Mrs. Lucille Collins
was instructor for the milli
nery .class with Mrs. Vera
Backstrom, oil painting
teacher.
Refreshments will be served.

The lodge voted to partici
pate in the Jackson County
Centennial celebration pro
gram. At the weekly meeting of
the lodge set for Monday at
8 p.m., Don Lacey, chancel
lor commander, states that
the charter will be draped in
memory of Marcus Legg, who
died Thursday.
