Dr. George G. Roseberry of ficiated at the three o'clock afternoon wedding attended by 75 relatives and friends. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle M. Paull, 313 North First street. Cen tral Point. Mr. Yarnell is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion C. Yarnell. 2348 Camp Baker road. Medford. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Chantilly lace frock in bal lerina length fashioned with bouffant skirt, scooped neck line and bracelet length sleeves. Her shoulder length veil was held by a crown of pearls and lace and she car ried a white orchid on a white Bible with satin ribbons knot ted with white rosebuds. Miss Charlene Paull was honor attendant for her sister. She wore a beige lace frock in ballerina length and car ried a cascade bouquet of yel low chrysanthemums and ivy leaves. Candlelighters were Donald Paull and Ralph Paull Jr., cousins of the bride. William Weddle served as best man. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Paull wore a navy blue dress with white accessories. Mrs. Yarnell chose a blue taf feta dress with black accessor ies. Their corsages were of yellow spider chrysanthe mums. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents with 200 relatives and friends attending. Assisting with the serving were Mrs. Robert Lance, Mrs. Gordon Tidweli. Mrs. William Weddle, Miss Pat Callaway, Miss Flora Chavis, Mrs. Allan Gosnell, and Mrs. Gordon Gilmore. The couple traveled north on their wedding trip, the bride wearing a black tunic suit with blue accessories. They will make their home at 539 Effie street, Medford. The bride is a graduate of Crater High school and was employed by Ardmor Chemi cal company of Oakland, Calif. Mr. Yarnell is a gradu ate of Phoenix High school and is employed by Workman Lumber company, Ashland. rUU 1 I Holiday Party Set A holiday luncheon and card party will be given by Beta Upsilon chapter of Beta Sigma Phi December 4 at 12:30 pm at the Pythian hall. The Christmas theme will be used for decorations and fav ors. There will be bridge, pi nochle and canasta tables. Net proceeds from the luncheon will be used for the annual scholarship given by the chapter for a student at Southern Oregon college, Ash land. The scholarship is for a junior or senior in need of financial assistance. Mrs. Joe Sayre is chairman of the c ommittee for the luncheon, Mrs. Dale Hogan in charge of decorations, Mrs. Ray Bostwick, favors, and Mrs. Carl Christenson, ticket sales. Tickets may be obtained from any member of the chapter or by calling Mrs. Christenson, SPring 3-4770, on or before December 1. The last chapter meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Wayne Harris November 18. Present were three women who received their pledge rit ual degree November 4. They are Mrs. Howard Berg, Mrs. D. T. Landing and Mrs. Wal lace Long. January Rites Planned by Pair Mr. and Mrs. James Pree, 2495 Jacksonville highway, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Barbara K. Pree, to Harvey Forsyth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Forsyth, Wil low River, Minn. The wedding will be held January 18 at the home of Miss Pree's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Rifenber ick, Tucson, Ariz. Miss Pree is a graduate of Medford High school and at tended Robertson's School of Business prior to joining the Women's Air Force 15 months ago. She is an airman third class stationed at Kirtland Air Force base, Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the radar con trol center. Mr. Forsyth is a sergeant in the Air Force also stationed at Kirtland Air Force base. Mr. Forsyth will receive his discharge from the service in January and the couple plan to make their home in Minne apolis, Minn. Couple Married In Reno Service Cora Ethel Nicholson, 625 Wabash street, became the bride of David B. Brabbin, Talent, in a ceremony held November 5 in Reno, Nev. The double - ring service was performed by Justice of the Peace William R. Beemer. The bride wore a coral col ored dress with white acces sories. The couple made a wedding trip to southern California where they visited the bride groom's brother-in-law a n d I sister, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Reays. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Hopper," Glendale, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Nicholson, Visal ia, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Brabbin are now living at Route 1, Box 524, Talent. Dinner Dance Honors Three A formal dinner and danc ing party Saturday, Novem ber 15 observed the birthdays of two valley residents and a former Medford resident. The honored guests were Miss DeMaris Glutsch, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A. W. Glutsch, 106 Vernada place, Mrs. Shel don B. Hughes, Shady Cove, and William McKinley, for merly of Medford, now of Sa lem. The event was held in the banquest room at Rogue River lodge, Trail. Hostesses were Mrs. Alma Durham, Medford, Mrs. Glutsch, and Mrs. John G. Sprague, Trail. Punch and hors d'oeuvres were served preceding the dinner and birthday cake was served later in the evening. An arrange ment of fall flowers and crystal candelabra decorated the hors d'oeuvres table and other fall flowers were used about the room. To Install Licensed Practical Nurses will install officers at their meeting Monday, November 24, at 7:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart hospital. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Ambrose, 870 Ross lane, and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ste phen B. Augard, Cottage Grove, Ore. The wedding was held in Meeker Memorial chapel, First Methodist church, with Dr. George Roseberry offici ating at the eight o'clock eve ning rites. Mr. Ambrose gave his daughter in marriage. The bride wore a gown of rose point lace over nylon tulle and satin, fashioned with full waltz-length skirt. She carried a white orchid en circled with white pompon chrysanthemums. Mrs. O. D. Milburn was honor attendant for her sister. She wore a gown of geranium pink crystalette, ballerina length, and carried bronze chrysanthemums. The bride's gown was first worn by Mrs. Milburn at r wedding, and Mrs. Milburn in turn wsfl dressed in the frock which her sister had worn as her attendant at the Milburn Rawstern wedding. Miss Mila Gust lighted the candles. Herbert Chapman, Ashland, was best man for the bride groom and Stephen Augard Jr., Cottage Grove, the bride groom's brother, seated the guests. Yellow and bronze chrysan themums were arranged with candelabra holding pale yel low; candles to decorate the church, and yellow ribbons were on the pew ends. Mrs. C. R. Adamson played the wedding music and Rod ney Hammer, cousin of the bride, was soloist. A reception for 80 guests was held at the Ambrose home, which was decorated with the bronze and yellow chrysanthemums. Mrs. Louis Nesberg and Mrs. Thomas Hannah baked the wedding cake. The bride ' was graduated from Medford High school and attended Southern Ore gon college and Robertson School of business. She is a secretary at Bear Creek or chards. Mr. Augard was grad uated from Cottage Grove High school and is a trim saw operator for Daugherty Lum ber company, White City. Costume Party . Held on Friday A group of friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Schuchard, 101 Gen eva street, Friday evening for a Sadie Hawkins' day costume party. The Schuchards and Mr. and Mrs. Dan A. Hull sponsored the event. A potluck dinner was served to 12 couples. Decorations and costumes were in keeping with the famous Al Capp comic strip characters from Dogpatch. Evenings 'till Elayne Leach To Be Married In Hong Kong Of interest here is news of the approaching wedding of Miss Elayne Rae Leach, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Leach, 1228 Corona avenue, to John Francis McClelland of Richmond, Yorkshire, Eng land. The wedding is set for Sat urday, December 13, at three o'clock in the English Metho dist church, Queen's Road East, Hong Kong. The recep tion will be given by Mr. and Mrs. S. Powell in their Ritz Garden apartments in Hong Kong. Miss Leach, who is on the faculty of the Eugene public schools, has resigned her po sition nd will arrive here this week to spend Thanksgiv ing with her parents. After a week in Medford the bride-to-be will fly to Oakland, leav ing December 5 from the Oak land, Calif., airport. She will be a guest of the Powells until the wedding. Miss Leach is a graduate of Medford High school and Southern Oregon college. She has taught in Eu gene three years and one year in Yokohama, Japan. Her fiance attended school in Richmond, England, and is now an electronics technician with the Royal Air force. 4 Mother Here Mrs, Sigrid Froberg arrived by plane from Chicago last week for an extended stay in Medford with her son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. David Boals, 34 Gien Oak court. Auxiliary to Hear Delegate Report Mrs. William B. Clegg will speak at a meeting of the Women's auxiliary of St. Mark's Episcopal church Fri day, November 28. Luncheon will be served at 12 noon. Mrs. Clegg, recently return ed from the triennial meeting in Miami, Fla., which she at tended as a delegate from St Mark's church, will talk about the changing pattern in won en's work in the church and the great strides of the church in both home and mission fields. The theme of the triennial session was "One Family in Christ."
