Mrs, Bilich is a daughter of Senator and Mrst Wayne Morse, Eugene and Washington, D.C., and her wedding took place yesterday morning, October 25, in Washington, D.C. The new' lyweds are to live in Sewickley, Pa. (Ferri of Sheffield photo) Farewell Event Honors Mullins Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mul lins, South Peach street, were honored at a no-host, dinner Friday evening at the Ben Day home, Sams Valley, prior to their leaving the valley Saturday to make their home in Anchorage, Alaska. The dinner was held by members of the County Home Rule committee of the League of Women Voters and their husbands, for persens who had assisted with the League's skit during the past several months. Approximately 24 persons attended. Also attending the event were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bill ings, Eugene, who were guests of the John F. Williams, Red dy avenue. Mr. Billings is oh the staff of Congressman Charles O. Porter. Mr. Mullins was transferred Ellen Rawstern And John Angard Engaged to Wed Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Ambrose, 870 Ross lane north, Medford, announce the en gagement of their daughter. Ellen Bertha Rawstern to John Thomas Angard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven B. Angard, Cottage Grove. Miss Rawstern is a graduate of Medford High school and is attending Robertson School of Business. Mr. Angard is a graduate of Cottage Grove High school and is employed by Daugherty Lumber compa ny, White City. Morse, Eugene, Ore., and Washington, D.C, became the bride of John Matthew Bilich, son of Mrs. Joseph A. Bilich, Aliquippa, Penna., and the late Joseph A. Bilich. Monsignor Edward Rouch of the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament officiated at the 9:30 o'clock morning nup tial mass attended by 200 rel atives and friends. The bride wore a silk gown of deep ivory fashioned with scoop neckline inset with lace and pearls, and three-quarter length sleeves. Covered but tons trimmed the back of the bodice from the neckline to the flat bustle bow at the waistline. The floor length skirt formed a chapel train and her lace veil was also floor length. She carried a bouquet of white orchids. Sen ator' Morse escorted his daughter to the altar. Mrs. Hugh Campbell, At lanta, Ga., was honor attend ant for her sister. Other at tendants were Mrs. Joseph T, Bilich, Louisville, Ohio, sis ter-in-law of the bridegroom: Mrs. Wade Eaton, Eugene, sis ter of the bride; Miss Mary Ann Bilich, Aliquippa, Penna., sister of the bridegroom; and honorary bridesmaids, Miss Sally Wheeler, Washington, D.C, and Miss Loradale Law rence, Bradford, Penna. They wore velveteen frocks styled on princess lines of American Beauty rose fashioned with scoop necklines and three- quarter length sleeves. They (Tarried bouquets of white roses. Little Melanie Camp bell served as flower girl for her aunt. Joseph T. Bilich served as best man for his brother. .Ush ers were Richard Woznicki, Aliquippa, John Jones, Rich mond, Va., and Hugh Camp bell. A men's choir sang. Following the ceremony, a breakfast was given at the Columbia Country club, Chevy Chase, Md., by Sena tor and Mrs. Morse. About 200 guests attended. Satur day evening Mrs. Bilich, mother of the bridegroom, was hostess for a dinner re ception at the Jones .and Laughlin Veterans club in Aliquippa for approximately 300 guests. The newlywed couple are Ann Morse Married i matt new Bilici traveling to Smoky moun tains and Williamsburg, Va., on their wedding trip.. For traveling the bride chose a brown tweed suit with white feather hat and brown acces sories. They will make their home in Sewickley, Penna., after November 10. The bride is a graduate of the University of North Caro lina and is a nurse on the staff of Sewickley Valley hos pital. Mr. Bilich is a gradu ate of the University of North Carolina and is with the Per sonal relations department of the National Supply company, Pittsburgh, Penna. Wedding .' Day Set Mr. and Mrs. Edward Coop er of Camp White and Med ford announce the engage ment and approaching mar riage of their daughter, Fran, to Dr. John Volkmann of Providence, R. I. The wed ding is scheduled to be held in Providence-November 1. Miss Cooper, a graduate of Mount Holyoke college, South iiaaiey, mass., will receive her master's degree in psy chology this year from Brown university, Providence, where she last year accepted a teach ing assistantship for four years while studying towards her doctorate degree.,. She is a graduate of Grants Pass High school and in 1953 won the American Field Ser vice trip abroad. In her fresh man year she received the Charles Cooley award' and the Elks award. While at Mount Holyoke", "Miss Cooper did both independent and honor work in her major. Her paper, "The Visual Discrimination of Simultaneity and Succession," is in the field of psycho physics. For several years she rep resented the National Youth Commission of the Episcopal church as president of the western providence. Dr. Volkmann is head of the psychology department at Mount Holyoke and is an au thority on the "Quantum the ory of Psychophysics." ' The couple plan a short wedding trip in Canada and will make their home at 183 Benefit street, Providence. Church Ceremony In Rogue River Marries Couple Rogue River Mr. and Mrs. Larry Efledge are mak ing their home near Savage creek following their wedding October 10 in the Assembly of God church, Rogue River. The Rev. Ernest Havemann officiated at the double ring ceremony: The bride is the former Miss Sandra Gregory, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Greg ory, Rogue River. Mr. El ledge is a son of Mrs. Doro thy Elledge and Harry El ledge, both of Rogue River. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white lace frock and carried a bou quet of white flowers encir cling an orchid. Mrs. Robert Pearce was matron of honor and Harry Elledge, brother of the bride groom, served as best man. Ushers were Robert Pearce and Truman Sanderson. Following the ceremony a reception was held. The newlywed couple are! November Rites Planned by Pair Eagle Point Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Malloroy, Route 1, Box 172, Eagle Point, announce the engagement and coming marriage of their daughter, Linda, to David Woolfolk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Woolfolk, Eagle Point. Miss Malloroy and Mr. Woolfolk are both graduates of Eagle Point High school and have been active in 4-H work in Jackson county and on the state level. At present Miss Malloroy is employed by Drs. Roberts and Roberts in Central Point, and Mr. Woolfolk is operating a ranch with his father at Brownsboro. Dr. George G. Roseberry of ficiated at the double ring rites attended by 140 relatives and friends. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Snook, 4258 Hamrick road, Central Point. Mr. Hammer is a' son of sMr." and Mrs. Marvin Mc Dole, 921 Reddy avenue, Med ford. The wedding was held on the bride's nineteenth birthday. ' Given in marriage 'by her father, the bride wore a white lace over satin frock styled with scalloped neckline and hem. Her fingertip length veil was held , by a band of lace and seed pearls and she car ried a fan bouquet of baby pink rosebuds and a white orchid. Miss Jean Snook was honor attendant for her sister while Mrs. Ray Cummings, Mrs. Genj Tednick, Eugene, sister of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Donald Summers, were brides matrons and Miss Glenna Heath was bridesmaid. They wore pink and blue sheath frocks and. carried pink and white chrysanthemums tied with matching ribbon. Twins Cathy and Keith Jensen were flower girl and ring bearer, respectively. Glen Peterson served as best man while ushers were Bernard Rawstern, Seattle, cousin of bride; David Snook, brother of the bride; Gene Tednick, Eugene, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; and Gary Stevens. White and pink chrysan themums decorated the church for the weddingi Soloist was Clyde Wheaton. 9 Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Girls Community club. Mrs. Vernon Parent cut and served the tiered wedding cake, Mrs. Adrain Van Horn presided at the punch bowl and Mrs. Wil lard Barnum poured the cof fee. Mrs. John Snook was in charge of the gift book while Mrs. Allen McQuade and Mrs. Dennis Burns were at the gift table. The couple traveled to the Oregon coast on their wedding trip the bride wearing for traveling a watermelon red chemise styled suit with black accessories. They are making ther home at 1462 Poplar drive. - vThe bride is a graduate of Crater High school. Mr. Ham mer is a student at Southern Oregon college and is employ ed by Medford Fir Ply com pany. Mr. "Elledge is em ployed at Camp White. do UT Dinner Dance Given at Club Mr. and Mrs. Dolph Phipps and Mr. and Mrs. McLeod Maurice were hosts for a buffet supper and dance Fri day evening at' Rogue Valley Country club. About 75 guests attended. .-Pumpkins filled with chry santhemums decorated the buffet table and dining room. Abby Green, club musician, played for dancing. Among the guests were Dr. and Mrs. Merl Margason, Portland. Whites Honored On Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Audley White were honored on their golden anniversary with a banquet Sunday afternoon, October 19, given at Redman hall by mem bers of Colonel Sargent camp and auxiliary, United Span ish War Veterans. Mrs. White was presented with a corsage of golden roses and Mr. White a gold rose boutonniere. They received many gifts and cards. The Whites were married September 3, 1908 in Grants Pass. Ore. Guests included Mrs. Vir ginia Thomas, Brookings, Ore.,, department assistant conductor; Mrs. Ted Cotter of Grants Pass, Edward Shac kle and Don Anderson. Anniversary To Be Marked Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Un ger will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary Friday, October 31, at an open house at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Unger, 3731 Crater Lake highway. Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to attend the event between 7 and 9 p. m. Mr. and Mrs. Unger were married October 31, 1903 in Spokane, Wash, and moved to southern Oregon in 1925. They have lived In Medford since 1947. EdwarcJs . Honored Mr. and Mrs. Ray Edwards, 323 King street, Medford, were honored at a party given by a group of relatives at their home on the occasion of their silver wedding anni versary. The couple were married October 17, 1933 at Phoenix and have lived in and near Medford since that time. Mrs. Larry Edwards, Ash land, daughter-in-law of the honored couple, cut and served the cake, Miss Janet Edwards, daughter of the Ray Edwards, poured the coffee, and William Edwards, son, poured the. punch. Decorations included a scene with a road made of sil ver dollars, which were pre sented to the couple. A minia ture car of the early 1930 vintage with bride and bride groom as passengers was on the road. Pink roses and white tapers decorated the serving table. During the evening Mrs. Larry Edwards " showed col ored slides of her recent trip to Kentucky, where Mr. Ed wards is stationed with the United States Army. Attending the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. George Edwards, and son, Robert; Mr. and Mrs. Ira Brooks; Mr and Mrs. Norman Vancet and children, all Medford;- Mr. and Mrs. Tom Caster, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Caster, Mr. and Mrs. Nonr an Caster, Mrs. Enid Caster, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Claflin, Phoenix; Mrs. Larry Edwards, Ashland; Mrs. Martin Tucker, of Colo rado, sister of Mrs. Larry Ed wards, the honored couple and their children.
