Not only was the quantity of debris up, but its intrinsic interest. Just the other day, for instance, I found a Paushmayer beer can in the peony bed near the road a welcome contrast to familiar local brands and all the more broadening because research proved Paushmayer's retail outlets are 700 miles west of us as the suds fly.
