R. Thompson, presiding minister of the Medford congregation. Thompson is among a group of nearly 100 valley Jehovah's Witnesses attending the meeting. Wednesday evening he re ported 7,138 persons were baptized. The eight-day internation al convention is being held at the Yankee Stadium and the Polo Grounds in New York. Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Shep herd,' Chehalis, Wash., were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hilderbrand recent ly. The Shepherds were en route to California to visit relatives and friends. Recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Olsen were their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Girts, Spokane, Wash. Dixie and Debbie Girts remained with their grand parents for a two week visit. With the Olsens July 26, they went to their other son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Lang, and family, Vancouver, Wash., where the Girts met there daughters on their return trip home. Seafair Trailers to Pass Through Cily The Los Angeles to Seattle Seafair Trailer caravan of 50 trailer houses will pass through Medford Sunday afternoon, Aug. 3. The cara van left Los Angeles on Thurs day, July 31. It is scheduled to stop over in Roseburg Sunday night, then continue to Vancouver, Wash., Monday and on Tues day it is scheduled to arrive in Seattle.
