The ceremony was read by Ever's father, pastor of the church in Trail. Evers who is a graduate of the Simpson Bible school in San Francisco and now has a church of his own in south ern California, was a visitor of the Rev. and Mrs. Paul Kroon here the summer of 1956. The mother and two sisters of Mrs. Larry Goff and Dale Ehlers were guests at the Goff and Ehlers homes for the holiday . week. Visitors were Mrs. Louise Ehlers, mother, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hanson and son Curtis all of Enderlen, N.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jansen and son Eric, of Los Angeles. The sewing circle group of of the Community Church Missionary society met Wed nesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Guy Dick to make tea towels to present to Mrs. El don Johnson, missionary from Bolivia who will visit the church some time in August. Sunday guests of the Rev. and Mrs. Gene Denning were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Walker of Manhattan Beach, Calif. Timothy Denning was home from Redding, Calif., for the week end. Guests this week in the Denning home are Mr. Denning's mother and step father, Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Sealey, of La Grande. Daily Vacation Bible school of the Community church will hold afternoon classes be- Adair Base Gets Approval by House Washington (UPI) Leg islation to authorized con struction of a S10 million Bo marc missile base at Camp Adair, near Corvallis, Ore., won the approval of the House of Representatives Thursday. Rep. Walter Norblad (R. Ore). said it was anticipated that funds would be made available to begin work this year. An .annual payroll of be tween $1.5 and $2 million would be added to the Camp Adair area, Norblad said. Be tween 400 and 500 troops would be stationed at Adair, he said. ' Under construction at the present is a $12 million SAGE yistallation at Camp Adair. ginning July 24 through Aug. 1. Mr. and Mrs. James' Mar tin and family are visiting in the valley from Cincinnati, Ohio. James is a brother of Bob, Harold and George M?r tin of Cave Junction, and Ed Martin of Rogue River. The George Martin home was the scene of a family re union when the five brothers with their families gathered for a picnic. An uncle, Ed Brown, of Felton, Calif., showed color slides of his trip through South America and some of Jamaica where ' the Martin brothers 'grandfather estab lished the first mission. Among the slides of Jamaica were pictures of the home where their, father and uncles were born. On Monday the Bob Mar tins and James Martins drove to Eugene where Bob stopped on a business trip and . the rest of the party drove on to Portland for the day.
