Salmonson was one of the first five North Americans re leased by the rebels, who cap tured 30 Americans and Ca nadians in recent days. Mrs. Salmonson said it was "won derful news" and "a big re lief" to learn her husband had been freed. All the occupants of the boat were rescued except lit tle Sheryl Dee Ann Hicks, 30-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hicks of Oak Grove. Others in the . boat were her parents, a brother, Robbie, T; Mr. and Mrs. Den nis W. Vaughan, Portland, and their two children, Con nie, 7, and Terry, 3. James Eissa saw the mis hap from his dock on Stamph er road. He and Dewey Har less and Vaughn Jensen rush ed to the scene in Bissio's boat to make the rescue. The two families were clinging to the capsized craft in the middle of the water and attempts to dive for the baby's body were unsuccessful.
