Trie bride is a daughter of Mr. and Ulrs. Howard Besler. 610 Whitman" place, and the bride groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Darland, 922 Park street. , She Rev. William McLofl ! celebrated the marriage cere mony and mass at 11 o'clock in the morning. Tom and Tim Darland brothers of the bridegroom, were acolytes. About 200 relatives and friends attended. Mr. Beele? escorted his daughter to the altar. Her wedding gown was blush pink nylon tulle designed by Ca hill and fashioned with scal loped neckline and very full skirt with insets of imported lace. Her veil was held by a crown of shell pink sequins and pearls. She carried a heirloom lace handkerchif loaned by Mft. B. L. Hunter. The bride's bouquets was a cascade of gardenias. The boiuet was presented to Mrs. Floyd tfcgel, cloSe family friend who is ill in Rogue Valley hospital. Miss We&iy Schnack was maid of honor and brides maids were Miss Sandra Mont gomery. Miss Jeri Callahan and Miss Ann Marie Darland, sister of the bridegroom. Miss Shack wore a bouffant gown of aquamarine taffeta with cummberbund of paler shade. Her headdress was of white braid threaded with pink Es ter Reed daisies and she car ried a nosegay of white daisies with pink elf roses. The bridesmaids gowns werof pale aquamarine taf feta with cummerbunds of a darkePshade. They also wore the. white bridal hats with pink Ester Reed daisies and carried pink daisy nosegays. Little Nancy Tomjack, flow er girl, wore a white nylon dress ovi pink net and taf feta with a coronet of pink tulle and rosebuds. Her minia ture bouquet was a duplicate of that carried by the maid of honor. John Walsh was best man and ushers were Richard Clark, Paul Newcombe and . Gregory Beeler, brother of the bride. Bruno Pellegrini played the wedding music. White gladiolus and daisies decorated the church. The bride's mother wore a Golden Weddiflg To Be Observed Butte Falls Mr. and Mrs. Roy H. Green, Butte Falls, will be honored at a golden wedding reception June 29, .Sunday. The event will be held at Community Bible church between two and four o'clotk, and friends of the couple are invited to attend. ; Mr. and Mrs. Green have lived in Jackson county for the past 30 years. The couple's daughter, Mrs. Robert Pechner, will arrive in the valley this week, from Salihi, Turkey, to be with her parents on the anniversary. The bridegroom's mother wore a mint green sheer cotton bolero dress with white accessories and her flowers were pink rosebuds. The reception was given by the bride's parents at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lester D. Harris, 707 South Oakdale avenue. The guest book was attend ed by Miss Mary Kay Harris, cousin of the bride. Coffee was poured by Mrs. W. J. Callahan and Mrs. R. B. Mont gomery, punch was served by Miss Jo Whitman and Mrs. Ronald Hotchkiss and the wedding cake was cut and served by Mrs. E. J. Lind strom and Mrs. William Barnes. The cake was cut with a heirloom knife loaned by Mrs. Gordon Warner. Mrs. Lester Harris and Mrs. Rich ard Randolph were hostesses. The newylweds spent a few days on the Oregon coast and then left for Los Angeles, where they will make their home. For traveling the bride wore a beige linen suit with white accessories and gar denia corsage. The bride attended St Mary's school and Southern Oregon college. In recent months she has been on the staff of Mann's Department store. The bridegroom, born in Medford, attended St. Mary'; school and Southern Oregon college. He is employed by Mobile Service stations, Los Angeles, and plans to attend Los Angeles State college in the fall. Pre - nuptial parties given for the bride included a show er for which Miss Callahan and Miss Montgomery were hostesses, a luncheon given by Miss Schnack and Miss Darland, a mailing shower and a miscellaneous shower by Mrs. William Barnes and a luncheon by the bride groom's aunt and her mother, Mrs. Louis Lemire and Mrs E. R. Hoppe. In Medford for the wedding were the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Barbara Anderson, Se attle; the bridegroom's grand mothers, Mrs. Emma Daland Murphy and Mrs. Evelina M. Gustafson Jay lor Rites Held at Church Central Point Miss Phyllis Jean Taylor became the bride of Richard Karl Gustafson in a ceremony held Saturday June 7, at Zion Lutheran church. The Rev. John Ham me of Klamath Falls officiat ed at the two o'clock after noon double ring ceremony attended by 125 relatives and friends. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Taylor, route 1, box 233, Central Point. Mr. Gustafson is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Gustaf son, route 1, Central Point Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white brocade ballerina length frock fashioned with fitted bodice and full skirt. Her veil was held by a tiara that had been worn by the bride's mother at her wedding in 1937. She car ried a white Bible with a white orchid. TVTi TVTaruarot Tavlnr wac maid of honor for her sister and Miss Carol von der Hellen was bridesmaid. Miss Taylor wore a blue brocaded frock and carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses. Miss von der Hellen was in yellow and car ried yellow roses. Candlelighters were Steph en Gustafson, brother of the bridegroom, and David Straus, Constance Clark Honored at Party A bridal shower honoring Miss Constance Clark, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hart ley, 59 Rose avenue, Medford, was held Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Robert Hub bard, 3562 Jacksonville high way. Miss Sandra Hubbard was co-hostess for the pre- nuptual party. Guests included many col lege and home-town friends of the bride-to-be. Attending were Mrs. Hartley, Mrs. Lance Pitts, Mrs. Houston Pitts, Mrs, Lewis Powell, Corvallis, Ore., Mrs. Chester Hubbard and Miss Sandra Hubbard, Mrs, A. Erin Merkel and Miss Sharon Merkel, Mrs. Lloyd Neilson and Miss Gloria Neil son, Mrs. Niles B. Smith and Miss Jan Smith, Mrs. Herman Newland, and the Misses Mar ty Meyers, Nancy Hamilton, Sara Hart, Sally Devers, and Alberta Puhl and Miss Lee Thornton of Palo Alto, Calif. The dessert table was ap propriately decorated" with a pink umbrella draped with pink and white ribbons tied with bunches of miniature pink, rose, blue and yellow blossoms. Pastel candles com plemented the setting. Miss Clark's wedding to Lawrence Lister, Portland, was set for Saturday after noon, June 21, at First Pres byterian church in Medford. Cruisers' Club Announces Picnic Cruisers' club of First Pres byterian church will meet Monday, June 23, for the an nual picnic at Touvelle State park at 6:30 p.m. Members and their families are invited to attend. Miss Wikstrom is a grad uate of Southern Oregon col lege and formerly was a sec retary for the law firm of Van Dyke, Dellenback and McGoodwin in Medford. .She is now employed by Benson and Davis law firm in Port land. Mr. Forbes is a graduate of Central Missouri State col lege, Warrensburg, Mo., where he received his bachelor of science degree in business ad ministration. Following the ceremony reception was held at the A. L, Straus home. A white organdy table cloth from France over a pink cloth was on the bridal table and pink and white roses in antique glass goblets were on the various tables in the rooms. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Talyor wore a pale green lace embroidered nylon dress with white accessories and pink rose corsage. Mrs. Gus tafson wore a beige linen frock with red accessories and a red corsage. The bridegroom's mother and Miss Joan Dobrot cut the wedding cake and pouring were Misses Jean Bonney and Carolee Brantley. Miss Rob erts Willett took charge of the guest book and Miss Kath- erine Straus the gifts. The newlywed couple are making their home at 14 Amy street, Central Point, follow ing their return from a wed ding trip to Brookings, Ore. For her traveling attire the bride wore a blue Cupioni dress with navy blue duster. The bride is a graduate of Crater High school. The bride groom is employed by Eads Transfer company. Mclntire - Stacey Rites Held in Medford Church An event of Sunday, Junt 15, was the wedding of Miss Florence Harriett Staceyto Terry Eugene Mclntire held at First Presbyterian church in Medford. The bride's par ents are Mr. and Mrs. George E. Stacey, East Fairview drive and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Mcln tire, Salem. The Rev. John Reynolds of ficiated for the double-ring ceremony held at three o'clock in the afternoon. About 175 guests attended the wedding ceremony and the reception whkh followed in the garden of the Stacey home Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of nylon organdy designed on princess lines with lace bodice. The skirt was fashioned with a back bow and chapel length train. The bride carried 'a cas cade of red and pink roses. Miss Pamela Stacey was honor attendant for her sister and other attendants were Miss Patricia Rukovina, Mrs. Fred iVan Bebber, cousin of the bride who came from Kansas City, Mo., for the wed ding, Miss Joyce Bowen, a sorority sister from Palo Al to, Calif., and Miss Jerri Ried linger, Milwaukie, Ore. They wore pinic lace sheath frocks with taffeta floating back panels and carried nose gays of red roses. Robert Bagley, Salem, was best man and ushers were Raymond Terhune, William Cole and William Donaldson, all Salem, and Robert Elfers, Portland, fraternity brothers of the bridegroom. Stanley Dowson, cousin of the bride, and Scott Mclntire, brother of the bridegroom, lighted the candles. Larry Gentry was soloist. The church was decorated with pink gladiolus for the ceremony. For traveling the bride wore a blue silk print with black accessories. Mr. Mclntire and his bride motored down the California coast for their honeymoon and will live in San Francisco. The bride was graduated from Medford High school and re ceived her degree from Ore gon State college earlier this month. The bridegroom is a graduate of Salem High school and 'also received his degree from OSC this month. He is employed at the Emporium in San Francisco under the store's executive training pro gram. The bride is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, and Mr. Mclntire's fraternity is Pi Kappa Phi. Couple to Wed In August Rites Mr. and Mrs. Melvin H. Hogan, 1512 East Main street, announce tne engagement and approaching narriage of their daughter, Shaion Kathleen, to Kenneth Nils Mattson, Portland. Mr. Mattson is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Mat tson of that city. The wedding is planned for August 16 in the garden of the Hogan home. The bride-to-be attended Oregon State college and the University of Arizona, and taught for half a year in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Mattson has served with the United States Navy and is now with Commercial Credit corporation, Portland.
