Court Plcns Ho Action on Bequest Members of .the county court said yesterday they did not plan any action on a re quested 15 - miles - per - hour speed zone on Wilson lane, northeast of Central Point. The court received a copy of a letter addressed to the state speed control board and a petition from residents of that area requesting the low er speed limit be established. The petition bears 23 signatures. The board acts only on re quests submitted by a county court or city council, the copy of a letter addressed to Mrs. Floyd Caughie, route 2, Cen tral Point, stated. Following a request from either of thes two bodies, the board will make an investigation, the letter stated. CANTALOUPES 1V Jet Trainer Makes Wheels Up landing Spokane (UPI) A T-33 jet .trainer from - Portland, Ore., made a "wheels, up" landing at Geiger Air Fore base near here Wednesday when the plane's right land ing gear failed to drop. Geiger officials said the nflot 1st L.L Daniel 3. War wick of Portland, notified the control tower he was in trou ble and fire crews sprayed foam on the runway, ane plane came in with its wheels and skidded about 1,000 feet. Co-pilot was 1st Lt. Rob ert E. Ottavmno, Portland. Neither airman was in jured and damage to the plane was slight. Greyhound Request Refused by Morgan Salem. OJPD The Pub lic Utility commission today permanently suspended pro oosals for curtailment of pas senger and express service by Western Greyhound Lines on the Seaside-Astoria - Portland route via the Sunset highway. The company asked that one of the present three ; daily round-trips be dropped. Some other schedule changes asked by the com pany also were suspended. PUC Commissioner Howard Morgan said the company was losing money and patronage over the route, butsaid tne reduction asked for would not provide adequate service. Public Hearing Set On Beer License A hearing will be held by the county court at 2 pjn June 25 on recommending a beer license for Charles A. Carr's restaurant at' 6463 Tablp Hock rd.. the county court has announced. Carr, represented by Med- ford Attorney O. H. Bengt son, is seeking an RMBB license which allows the sale of beer over the counter and packaged beer. ' Pptitions on the request was denied, it was reported.
