The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold H. Corliss, 938 South Holly street and the bride groom is a son of Mrs. Thom as Michael Walsh, Duluth, Minn., and the late Mr. Walsh. The marriage ceremony and mass were celebrated at 10:30 o'clock in the morning by the Rev. John Ilg, with David Young and David Taft serving as acolytes. About 250 guests were present. June 5 was chosen as the wedding date since it was the Feast of Corpus Christi. Mr. Corliss escorted his daughter to the altar. Her wedding gown was of white brocaded satin designed with fitted floor-length skirt and bodice with square neckline and short sleeves. Her net veil was held by a satin pill box hat trimmed with seed pearl design and her long fin gerless gloves were of satin to match the gown. She car rieda white satin prayer book with a white orchid and ste phanotis streamers. In keeping with a. tradition of graduates of Marylhurst college, the bride's bouquet was sent to the college to be placed on the altar in the chapel dedicated - to the Blessed Mother. Mrs. Robert H. Corliss was honor attendant for her sister-in-law and bridesmatrons were Mrs. C. Lind McBeth, Jacksonville, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Daniel A. Hull. Mrs. Corliss wore a shell pink brocaded silk frock of sheath design with short sleeves and matching over skirt of chiffon. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink and white sweetpeas and her headband was of pink feath ers. The bridesmatrons' gowns were of lavender brocaded satin, sheath style, with match ing chiffon overskirts.' Their feather headdresses were lav ender and they carried laven der and white sweetpeas-. AH three attendants wore pearl earrings which were gifts from the bride. Patricia McBeth, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Kenneth R. Corliss, brother of the bride, was best man and ushers were Guy D. W. Corliss and Robert H. Corliss, brothers of the bride, and C. Lind McBeth, her brother-in-law. Bruno Pellegrini played the wedding music and Miss Frances Thrun and John P. Cooney sang. White stock and roses in varied shades of pink decor ated the church. The bride's mother wore an, ensemble of rose and silver grey brocaded silk with pastel pink accessories. Her flowers were gardenias. The bride groom's mother wore a dark blue brocaded silk ensemble with white accessories and gardenia corsage. The reception was given by the bride's parents and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel A. Hull at the Hull home on Eastwood drive. The guest book was attended by Mrs. Effie Kurtz and Mrs. O. D. Frazee, aunt of the bride, poured coffee. The wedding cake was served by Mrs. McBeth, the bride's sis ter. The cake was cut with an heirloom knife and server loaned by Mrs. Z. N. Agee. The flower arrangements in the Hull home were the work of Phillip Henselman, and he also played piano background music during the ' reception. Mr. Henselman, formerly of Medford, is now living in Mexico City. The newlyweds spent a few days on the California coast and then left for Duluth. For traveling the bride wore a suit of beige raw silk with aqua marine accessories. The bride, born and reared in Jackson county, was edu cated at St. Mary's school here and is a graduate of Maryl hurst college in Oregon. For two years she lived in Japan and served as a program di rector for the Special Services of the United States Armed Forces. In recent months she has been on the staff of Swem's store in the record department. Miss Corliss, a soprano, was featured as a soloist and with choral groups during her school days here and at Marylhurst, and gave concerts during her stay in Japan. Mr. Walsh attended Cathe dral High school in Duluth and Marquette university in Milwaukee, Wis. He is now with General Electric Credit corporation in Duluth. One of the pre-nuptial par ties given for the bride was a buffet dinner for which Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bulkin were hosts in their home near Shady Cove. About 25 guests attended. In Medford for the wedding were the bridegroom's moth er, his sister, Miss Mary Ann Ceremony Planned For New Officers Officers of Medford Busi ness and Professional Wom en's club will be installed Thursday, June 19, at the Medford hotel at 7 pan. Members of the executive board will be in charge of arrangements. Visitors for the evening will be members of the Ashland and Grants Pas? clubs. A dinner will precede the installation ceremony. Walsh, both Duluth; Mrs. Helen Stewart, aunt of the bridegroom from Los Angeles; the Rev. A. A. Rodakowski, former assistant pastor of Sa cred Heart church here and now pastor at Dallas, Ore.; Harold J. Laswell, Salem; Miss Lou Tipton, and Mrs. Con stance Wright, both Oregon City; Mrs. Fred Mills, cousin or the bride and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Chapman, Hornbrook, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. B. Eker son, West Linn, Ore.; Mr. Hen selman and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford McBeth, San Luis Obispo, Calif. Women to Take Tour of Europe Mrs. Edith Devaney, 1012 East Jackson boulevard, and Mrs. Maurice Reavis,' 220 South Oakdale avenue, will leave Monday, June 16, from Portland by Pan American World airways on an -European tour. They will take the polar route. Their itinerary will take them to 12 countries and will include several days at the World's Fair in Brussels and a visit to the shrine in Lourdes, France. A centennial celebra-1 tion is being held in Lourdes this year. The two women will also visit Londan, Paris, Rome, Venice, Monaco, Mad rid and many other European cities. While in Spain they will meet Mrs. Devaney's son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. McDonald Devaney, San Francisco, who have enrolled at the University of Valencia for the summer session. The travelers will fly home by way of Lisbon and New York and will be gone seven weeks. Georgie McDaniel, Richard Walker Engagement Told Mrs. Roberta L. Daniel, 531 Fairmount street, Medford, and John P. Daniel, Living ston, Mont., announce the en gagement of their daughter, Georgie Gaye, to Richard D. Walker, son of Mrs. Thelma Strother, Glendale, Calif., and Delos Walker, Gold Hill. Miss Daniel is a graduate of Medford High school. Mr. Walker is a graduate of Crater High school.
