Mrs. Lester Adams, president; Mrs. William Frake, first vice - president; Mrs. Sheridan Scott, second vice-president; Mrs. Sherman Feiss, treasurer, and Mrs. Myers Jones, secretary, will attend. Following the luncheon, the annual silver tea of the Republican women's club will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. at the home of Mrs. George Rob erts, 1815 Crown, avenue. Mrs. Geddes will be the honored guest. Serving for the afternoon will be women who have been long active in the organiza tion. They are Mrs. Minnie Ball, Mrs. John Boyle, Mrs. G. Q. D'Albini, Mrs. George B. Dean, Mrs. Grace Fiero, Mrs. Myron Root, Mrs. Edith Stevens and Mrs. Winifred Vail. The public is invited to at tend. Cave Church Ceremony Marries Carol JVyatt, Jerry Cave Central Point An event of May 10 was the wedding of Kiss Carol Lee Wyatt to Jerry E. Cave, held at First Presby terian church in Medford. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Albert V. Wyatt, 3463 New Ray road, Central Point, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Willard E. Cave, Eagle Point. Both the bride and bridegroom have lived in Jackson county their entire lives. The double-ring ceremony was read at two o'clock in the afternoon by Dr. D. Kirkland West, with 150 guests present. Donald W. Wyatt give his sis ter in marriage. The bride's princess style wedding gown was of white peau fie soie fashioned with lace . bodice embroidered in seed pearls and floor length skirt ending in a sweep train. The gown was made by her mother. The bride's cascade bouquet was of phalaenopsis orchids. ' Miss Lenita Nelms, Eagle Point was honor attendant and Mrs. Ivan McKinney, White City was bridesmatron. Miss Nelms wore a ballerina frock of lavender crystalstte and carried a nosegay of yel-' low and orchid-colored carna tions. Mrs. McKinney's balle rina gown was of yellow crys- Mr TT J (Landis photo) talette and she also carried a nosegay of orchid and yellow carnations. The bride's mother wore a navy blue crepe gown with white accessories and the bridegroom's mother a white knit suit with lavender acces sories. Their corsages were ivory colored cymbidium or chids. Glenn E." Cave, Medford, was best man for his brother and ushers were Donald Hawk and Fred Cave, cousin of the bridegroom, both Medford, and Norman Woodward, Eagle Point. Miss Joan Henderson, Eagle Point, sang and Mrs. H. E. Marsh was at the organ. The church decorations were bouquets of pastel col ored gladiolus and daisies ar ranged by Mrs. Ivan Mc Kinney. i The reception followed in the church parlors. Mrs. Rich ard Van Allen cut the wed ding cake and punch was served by Mrs. Glenn "Cave. Mrs. Richard Mole Jr., poured coffee and Mrs.' Richard Mole took charge of the gifts. Miss Anna Carlson took charge of the guet book. Mr. Cave and his bride trav eled to the coast for their wed ding trip, the bride wearing a beige chemise dress with white accessories. They are living at West 1412 Ninth street, Spokane, Wash., where the bridegroom is an airman third class with the United States Air Force. The bride attended Eagle Point High school and Eastern Oregon college. She has been on the staff of the Veterans ans Administration at Camp White. Mr. Cave attended Eagle Point High school. A number of parties preced ed the wedding. Mrs. Glenn Cave and Mrs. Claude Griffin honored the bride at a shower at the Griffin home in Eagle Point, and - the Misses Anna Carlson and Joan Henderson were hostesses for shower in Medford. The employees of the Veterans' domiciliary also gave a party for the bride. The rehearsal dinner was given by the bride's mother at her home the evening of May 9. Here for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Johnson and daughter, Allenda and son, Jimmy, and Mrs. J. W. Walker, Rohnerville, Calif-i Mr. and Mrs. A: D. Hulbert, Roseburg; Mr. and Mrs. Neal Wyatt, Myrtle Point, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Warner, Klamath Falls. Lady ElkTPIan Guest Luncheon Medford Lady Elks will en tertain the Grants Pass Lady Elks at a meeting and lunch eon Tuesday, May 27, in Med ford. The meeting date has been changed from that pre viously announced. Luncheon will be served at 12:30 p.m. and all Medford members are asked to take salads. For reservations con tact Mrs. E. G. Chapter to Meet Bowbells chapter of the Daughters of the British Em pire will meet Thursday, May 22, at 8 p.m. with Mrs. Arthur G. McMillin at 661 Jay street. Plans for a picnic will be discussed. Parties Honor Visitors in the valley have) been the incentive for several ! parties in recent days. Many of these have honored Mr. j and Mrs. George Rasmussen, Omaha, Neb., who were guests of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Rasmussen Jr., 21 Acorn way, and Col. and Mrs. Robert G. Emmens, who are visiting relatives in Medford before sailing for an assign ment in Japan. Mr. and Mrs. George Rob erts gave a cocktail and sup- Ceremony Weds Pair Darlene L. Craft became the bride of Gerald W. Dynge in a ceremony held May 3 at one o'clock in the afternoon in Ashland. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Brown, 1165 Wood room lane, Medford. The bridegroom is a son of Mrs. Dorothy Dynge, 304 Chestnut street, and G. T. Dynge, 1301 Spring street. He has been making his home at 1100 South Holly street. Lee Wilmeth, justice of the peace, officiated at the cere mony held at his home. The bride wore a pink suit with white accessories and white orchid corsage. Mrs. Eldon Tolle attended the bride. She wore a; blue knit suit with white acces sories and had a corsage of stephanotis. Eldon Tolle served as best man. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the ToUp residence at 325 Mel rose street, Medford. The couple are making their home at 1100 South Holly street following a wed ding trip to Victoria, V.I., and Vancouver, British Columbia. The bride is a graduate of Medford schools and is em ployed as a secretary with the Business Service Bureau. The bridegroom attended Buckley, Wash., High school and is as sistant manager of Piggly Wiggly Market. June Marriage Planned By Pair Mr. and Mrs. Frank Albert Lingscheit, McMinnville, an nounce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Carol Ardis Ling scheit of Portland, to Daryl Leroy Wheeler, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wheeler Jr., 1525 Lenora drive, Medford. The bride is a student at the College of Beauty in Port land. The bridegroom is a sophomore student at South ern Oregon college where he is majoring in dentistry. The wedding has been set for June 22 in Medford. j Credit Gladly Given Visitors per party for the Rasmussens, inviting 24 guests to then home on Crown avenue. The Rasmussens were also honor ed at a number of small lun cheons and card parties dur ing their stay. They left Fri day. Earlier Mr. and Mrs. Rob erts were hosts for a dinner at their home which honored Colonel and Mrs. Emmens and Mr. and Mrs. Harlow Carpenter, Waitsfield, Vt. Among the guests were Dr. and Mrs. Donald Moore, Eu gene, who came down espec-4 ially to spend some time with Colonel and Mrs. Emmens. This evening Mr; and Mrs. Martin Luther and Mrs. R. G. Bardwell are giving a Sun day supper party for the of ficer and Mrs. Emmens at the Luther home. Guests will be family members and a few young people who are friends of the honored couple. Last evening Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Thierolf honored the Emmens at a cocktail party at their home, 91 Black Oak drive. 'About 40 guests at tended. Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Thomp seri were hosts for a dinner Wednesday evening to honor Colonel and Mrs. Emmenes. Guests were invited to the Thompsen's home on Modoc ave. Mrs. Corbin Edgell gave a dinner for the visitors, and Mrs. J. E. Collins was host ess for a luncheon ' which honored Mrs. Emmens. Colon el and Mrs. Emmens were also entertained in the home of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Hayes, 217 Modoc avenue, for dinner one evening, and. oth er parties have honored' the pair. ' , Colonel and Mrs. Emmens and their three children will sail from Seattle May 23 for Tokyo. Marriage Plans Made by Couple Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Heard, Route 3, Medford, announce the. engagement and ap proaching marriage of their daughter, Kathleen Heard, to Jesse H.'Guyton, son of Mr. and Mrs. . Ted Guyton, 3890 Laurel lane, Medford. The ceremony is planned for late May. Miss Heard, a graduate of Medford High school is em ployed at Fluhrer's bakery, Mr. Guyton attended Phoenix High school and is now em ployed in Sacramento, Calif, He served a tour of duty with- the United States Navy. ' ' ;gV Miss Vickl Demonstration Tour Aids Kindergarten A demonstration of teaching techniques for hard-of-hearing children from the Kinder garten operated by Medford Junior Service league for these children will be given Tuesday, May 20, at 7:30 p.m. at Hedrick Junior High school cafetorium. The meeting will be open to the public. Proceeds from the tour of homes scheduled by the League June 3 will aid. in the support of the kinder garten. The tour will be- held from 1 until 4:30 p.m. with the (Social hours held at the Rogue Valley Country club from 3 until 4:30 p.m. Invitations are not being sent this year for the tour but tickets will be available in the dcwntown area or from League members. Lowry, Fern Valley road, ' Betrothal News Told at Party In California Jacksonville At a recent party at the Mexican Inn, Ox- nard, Calif., Mrs. Dorothy Nielsen announced the en gagement of her daughter, Charlene, to Allan Childers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton W. Childers of Jacksonville. Miss Nielsen is a student at Oxnard High school. Mr, Childers is serving with the United States Navy and is stationed with a Naval Con struction Battalion at Port Hueneme, Calif. A December weaaing is planned. 17 South Central jadleyk Student Honored Miss V i c k i Robertson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Robertson, 1020 West Elev enth street, .Medford, sopho more at Southern Oregon col lege, was recently tapped for Robes, all school service hon orary for women, during Mother's Week-end last week. She was also elected secretary of the student body. Miss Robertson was Girl of the Term during the winter semester, chosen by Associ ated Women Students; and is president of Tri Zeta, new women's service organization on the campus. The Medford girl is also secretary of Sigma Epsilon Pi scholastic honorary society. She attended the Oregon Federation of Collegiate Lead ers conference at Lewis and Clark college this year. Miss Robertson is employed and self-supporting. Handweaves Set Election Tuesday The May meetmg of Rogue Valley Handweavers' guild will be held Tuesday, May 20, at 8 p.m. in the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Gray, Cherry lane. Election of officers for the coming year, and plans for summer social activity will be discussed. All weavers cordially in vited.
