Send Twenty - five cents Public Relations In Business Topic Of Course Here A course on public rela tions in business, sponsored by the National Retail Credit association of St. Louis, Mo., and featuring S. H. Womack, training consultant in public relations, Austin, Tex., will be held at 'Hedrick Junior High school May 21-23. The course is open to the general public, according to Vern Bacon, manager of the Credit bureau of Medford. Womack has conducted sim ilar courses in about 150 cities and has 15 years of ex perience in this field, Bacon said. A man of deep religious, conviction, Hatfield has taught a Sunday School class for young adults and served three terms as moderator of Salem's large First Baptist Church. He has spoken before 17 different . denominations from Cleveland, O., to Seat tle, Wash., and in 1955 ad dressed the Easter Sunrise Service in the Pasadena Rose Bowl. . Last fall, Hatfield became engaged, to Antoinette Kuz manich, a University of Ore gon graduate, now counselor at Portland State College. Their wedding is 'set for July 8. Both hold master!s degrees from Stanford University. Making no pretense of his desire for a continued career in public service, 'he has ad mitted to friends he had hoped to bide his time before running for higher office, but supporters convinced him he should seek the governor's chair now. As an administrator, Hat field has tackled big reorganv ization problems in his office and as a Board of Control member he makes regular in spections of state institutions. Hatfield says the most fun he's had in the, campaign was the McKenzie . River Guides White Water boat parade dur ing which he shot the rapids over a long course. It brought back memories of 31 months naval service in World War II, including the invasions of Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
