Miss Pool is a graduate of Medford Senior High school and attended Southern Ore gon college. She is employed by Mann's Department store. Mr. Gleason is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Gleason, 2684 Crater Lake highway, Medford. He is a graduate of Medford Senior High school and is studying mechanical engineering at Oregon State college. No date has been set for the wedding. Shower Honors Hilts Bride-Elect Hilts The club room at the Community Center was the scene of a bridal shower Mon day evening, March 31 for Miss Marilyn Horner of Para dise, bride-elect of Mario Mi chelon. Hostesses were Miss Diana Michelon and Mrs. Gino Mi chelon. Green and yellow was used for the table decorations, with bouquets of daffodils and yellow candles on a hand crocheted cover over yellow crepe paper. The cakes were baked by Mrs. Gino Micheloh; two in the shape of wedding rings with Mario's and Mari lyn s names written on mem. i . Morris, high priest of Crater Lake chapter, RAM; Merlyn Bor ough, master of the sixth arch of the Grand council; Wallace Cameron, orator of the grand chapter; Ralph Lue, inspector general honorary of the Scot tish Rite; Mrs. Gertrude Win ningham, matron of Adarel Chapter O.E.S.; Mrs. Shores, representative of he grand chapter OES, of Illinois in Oregon; Miss Nancy Lininger, queen of Bethel 22; Miss Su zanne Rogers, messenger of Bethel 56, Shady Cove, and knights of the York Cross of Honor who were present. Eminent Sir Knight Glenn Smith, acting as grand- mar shal for the commanders' ball, presented Mrs. Goold with a spray of American Beauty roses to carry in the grand march. Students Spend Week End Here Week end visitors in Med ford are Dick Arnold, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Arnold, Reddy avenue; and his room mate Dick Van Winkle of Forest Grove, Ore. The young men students at Lewis and Clark college, Portland, were accompanied to Medford by Miss J nna Lou Henson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Henson, and Miss Shirley Lynch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Lang hoff in a ceremony held Sat urday, March 22, at the First Baptist church, Medford. The Rev. Haddon Robinson offi ciated at the double ring cere mony held at four o'clock in the afternoon and attended by 60 relatives and friends. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Ruth V. Wayland, 917 Alta street, Medford. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. O. L..Langhoff, 917 Alta street, and has been mak ing his home at 2244 West Prune street. Mrs. H. E. Marsh played the traditional organ wedding music and Mrs. Ralph Mat lack was soloist. The bride wore a white dotted Swiss ballerina length frock and a white pearl tiara with pearl jewelry. She car ried a white orchid and white hyacinths on a white Bible. She was given in marriage by her uncle, Charles; Cum mings, Medford. Miss Judy Wayland attend ed her sister. She wore a nile green crystallette frock with matching headdress and shoes and carried pink carnations encircled by pink net. Little Marcia Parmelee, niece of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a white nylon organdy frock with headdress of white roses and carried a bouquet of pink carnations on a white satin pillow. Douglas Paddock was can dlelighter. N Wallace Parmelee, brother-in-law of the bride, served as best man. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Wayland wore . white suit with matching acces sories. Her flowers were gar denias. Mrs, Langhoff wore a navy blue suit with white and navy blue accessories and a corsage of camellias. Following the ceremony a Club Sets Date Of Flower Show The annual flower show sponsored by Medford Garden club will be held April 26 from 12 noon until 8:30 pjn. at the Red Cross building, 60 Hawthorne avenue. - The show, "Spring Harm ony," will be open to visitors and all interested in gardens and flowers are invited to ex hibit. Entries will be received from 7 until 9:30 a.m. the day of the show. Flowers and plants in the horticultural class must be grown by the exhibitor. The specimens should be labeled with the name of variety whenever possible. Floral arrangements must be made by exhibitors in their containers which should be marked with owner identifica tion. Exhibitors are not per mitted to make more than one entry in any one class. Standard scale of points will' be used for judging. If no entry in a class are worthy of an award in the opinion of the judges, none will be given. Vickie Robertson Named to Office Miss V i c k i Robertson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Robertson, 1020 West Eleventh street, Medford, has been elected vice-president of the Associated Women Stu dents for 1958-1959 at South ern Oregon college.' Miss Robertson is a fresh man at the college. The offi cers will be installed during the week end of May 10 and 11 which is Mother's week end at the school. Church reception was held at the Cherry Cummings home on Heights. The newlyweds are making their home at 800 South Oak dale avenue following their return from a wedding trip to the Oregon coast. For traveling the bride wore a pink peweled sweater with pink skirt and black acces sories. The bride attended Placer Union High school, Auburn, Calif., and is employed as a receptionist by Dr. Thomas H. Emmens and Dr. John T. Weisel. The bridegroom at tended Hamilton High school, Hamilton, Mont., and is em ployed by Oregon Fire and Supply company here. Musicale Given At Sanborn Home A Sunday afternoon neigh borhood musicale was held Sunday, March 30, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sanborn. Piano pupils' of Mrs. Earle Fichtner played during the event." ' Participating were Jane Sanborn, Donna Poulos, Holly Forncrook, Jackie Mee, Biily Savard, Jay Poulos, Martha Sanborn, Judi Mee, Kathleen Sanborn and Maureen Philips. Farrell are making their home at 210Ji Washington street, Medford, following their" wed ding March 19 at the First Methodist church here. The bride is the former Joan B. King, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Zemlicka, 1209 Mt. Pitt avenue, Medford. Mr. Far rell is a son of Mrs Ethel Far rell 505 North Riverside ave nue. The Rev. George Trobough officiated at the double ring ceremony held at eight o'clock in the evening. Mrs. Lester Boardman played the tradi tional organ wedding music for the candlelight ceremony attended by members of the immediate families of the couple. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a pink linen suit with white acces sories. Her corsage was of deep pink baby orchids. Mrs. Penny Martinson at tended the bride. She wore a lime green wool suit with pink accessories and had a p i n k carnation corsage. Thomas Lee Robertson served as best man. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Zemlicka chose a blue suit with white accessories and had a yellow and white carnation corsage. Mrs. Far rell wore a pink sheath dress with black faille coat and black accessories. Her corsage was of pink and white carna tions. ' The couple made a wedding trip to Reno, Nev. The bride attended Rose burg and Medford schools and is employed by the First Na tional bank of Portland, Med ford branch. The bridegroom attended Gold Hill and Med ford schools and Robertson School of Business here. He is employed by the Oregon Nev ada California Fast Freight lines. ' '. f Lions' Auxiliary Holds Initiation Initiation was held at a meeting of Medford Lady Lions at the home of Mrs. Lee Mellish, 117 Black Oak Drive, Tuesday evening. Those in itiated were Mrs. Robert Har land, Mrs. Kenneth Natland and Mrs. Anthony Capello. - The nominating committee appointed by the president, Mrs. H. M. Christoffersen, is composed of Mrs. J. A. Tom jack, Mrs. Alan Jewett and Mrs. Kenneth Campbell.
