Sunday, April 6, 1958 Students v Wedded in Saratoga Miss Deanna Mae Campbell nd Donald Wallace Robinson were married Saturday, March 29, in a ceremony held at Weithope Presbyterian church in Saratoga, Calif. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Campbell, formerly of Medford and now of Saratoga, and the bride groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Wallace R. Robinson, 29 Ross court, Medford. The 'service was held at four o'clock In the afternoon, with the Rev. G. Loren Lewis officiating. Mr. Campbell gave his daughter in marriage The bride wore a ballerina- length gown of white silk with lace bodice, and the veil which her mother had worn for her wedding 33 years ago. It was held by a double- crowned headdress. The bride earried stephanotis, blue lilacs and pink rosebuds. Miss Delma Campbell was her sister's only attendant She wore a pink lace sheath dress with pink accessories and her bouquet was of vio lets and pink rosebuds. Joseph Rush, San Jose, Calif., was best man for the bridegroom. The church was decorated . with iris and white stock. Following the ceremony, .the bride's parents gave a wedding supper at their home for about 25 guests. For the wedding and supper the bride s mother wore a rose- colored ensemble, and the bridegroom's mother wore a dress and jacket of Dior blue. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson are both students at the Universi ty of Oregon, and they are living at 1563 East 19th avenue, Eugene. J 17 South Central adleys Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Eugene Dick (Landis photo) Miss June Louise Couey Married to Raymond Dick Miss June Louise Couey became the bride of Raymond Eugene Dick in an evening ceremony held Friday, March 28, at First Presbyterian church, Medford. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garner W. Couey, 1928 Stew art avenue, and Mr. Dick is the son of Percy Dick, Oak land, Calif. About 100 guests attended the ceremony, read at 8 o'clock by Dr. D. Kirkland West. Mr. Couey gave his daughter in-marriage. , The couple chose March 28 as their wedding date since it was Mr. Couey's birthday anniversary. The bride's gown was of re-embroidered Chantilly lace over satin fashioned with yoke embroidered in seed pearls, long sleeves and skirt with chapel length train. Her veil was held by a satin crown appliqued in lace with seed pearls. She carried a white orchid with pink baby roses and white hyacinths. Miss Yvonne Fields was honor attendant and Miss Sheila Couey, sister of the bride and Miss Jean Smith, Jacksonville, were brides- maids. Their gowns were of chiffon over satin, with close fitting bodices and full, pleat ed skirts. Miss Fields wore orchid, Miss Couey's frock was mint green and Miss Smith, yellow. Their hats were of contrasting net and they carried bouquets of white hyacinths and daffodils. Bruce Mathey, Jacksonville, Bruce Matheny, Jackson ville, was best man and ushers were jerry Pawloski and Alan McBeth, both Jacksonville. Mrs. Richard W. Hart was at the organ, and Miss Donna McFarland, Klamath Falls, sang. 1 The reception was held in the church parlor. Miss Lorna Vance and Miss Norma Grang er took charge of the guest book, and Mrs. Wayne Wake field cut the wedding cake, assisted by Miss Colleen War nock. Miss Lillian Lewis pour ed punch. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Couey wore a blue silk print sheath dress with white lace hat and pink orchids. Mrs. Alma Taylor, Jackson ville, close family friend of the bridegroom who received with the bride's family wore a light blue suit with white hat and pink orchids. Mr. Dick and his bride spent their honeymoon in San Francisco and will make their home at 1400 Walnut avenue, Redding, Calif., where the Harrisons Home After Island Stay Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Har rison returned to Medford last Sunday after spending the past two weeks in Hawaii. The couple sailed from San Francisco on the Matsonia, and made the return trip by Pan-American airways. While in Hawwaii they were guests at the Princess Kaiulani ho tel. The Harrisons toured the various islands, and were en tertained by friends during their stay. Miss Levtzow Guest of Honor A bridal shower, honoring Miss Beatrice Levtzow, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan H. Levtzow, 517 Western ave nue, was held March 28 by Mrs. Leona Sutton and Mrs. J. T. Garrigus. It was held at the home of Miss Levtzow. Following games the gifts were opened and refreshments served. Miss Levtzow is the bride-elect of Ted Garrigus. Miss Sally Mongol'' Sally 'Mongold Engaged to Wed Lt. Eugene Ward Eagle Point Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Mongold, Route 1, Eagle Point, announce the engage ment of their daughter, Sally to Lt. Eugene F. Ward, son of Mrs. W. C Ward of 324 South B. street, Eagle Point. Miss Mongold is a graduate of Eagle Point High school and is a medical technology major at Lewis and Clark col 1 e ge , Portland. Lieutenant Ward is an officer in the Uni ted States Air Force and is stationed at Randolph Air Force base, San Antonio, Texas. He is also a graduate of Eagle Point High school. No wedding date has been set. Medford Woman Home From East Mrs. O. O. Allenderfer re turned to her home at 45 Ross court last week after spend ing the winter weeks in Balti more, Md. Mrs. Allenderfer was a guest of her brother, A. B. Cunningham, who form erly lived in Medford. Mrs. Allenderfer, who left Medford last November for the east, remarked upon the bitter winter experienced 'in that region and told how cars, abandoned in front of the Cunningham's apartment dur ing a snow storm, were still there, covered with snow, a week later. Culmer are making their home at 301 West Second street, Medford, following their return from a wedding trip to San Francisco and Car mel. Mrs. Culmer is the form er Elizabeth Ritchie Casson, daughter jof'Mrs. H. J. Cas son, 24 South Foothills road, Medford. The couple were married in a home ceremony held Sun day, March 23, at 2:30 o'clock in the afternoon at the Cas son home. The Rev. Richard M. Jones officiated at . the double ring ceremony. The bride wore a pale pink silk dress with matching dus ter and accessories. She car ried a Bible with pink orchid and rosebuds. The Bible form erly belonged to her father. She was given in marriage by Fred Morris, Medford. Miss Hannah Casson attend ed her sister. She wore a malt print dress with beige duster brown accessories. Her cor sage was of yellow orchids. Clifford Culmer, Ashland, served as best man for his brother. White and pink carnations decorated the fireplace at the home where the wedding was held. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Casson chose an aqua marine and white figured print dress with aquamarine duster and white accessories. Her flowers were white carna tions. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Girls Community club in Med ford. More than 120 relatives and friends of the couple at tended. Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. David Casson, Vancouver, British Columbia, cousins of the bride. For her traveling attire the bride wore a blue wool crepe suit with pink and navy blue accessories. The newlywed couple are both employed at the California Oregon Power company in Medford. Couple Observes 43 rd Anniversary Sunday at Home Mr. and Mrs. Simeon W. Burrill, 5611 Table Rock road, Medford, celebrated their 43rd wedding anniver sary Sunday, March 30. Attending the event were sons of the honored couple and their familiesr Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Burrill, Eagle Point, and children, Dan, Douglas and Carol Sue; Mr. and Mrs. Neil Burrill, Crater Lake highway, and sons, Vin cent and Rodney; and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Burrill, Crater Lake highway, and daughters, Susie and Maurice. Culmer (Landis photo) Traveler Returns Miss Marie Eicher, 18 Haw thorne avenue, returned Mon day from a six weeks cruise to Australia and New Zeal and. She sailed from San Francisco February 16 aboard the SS Mariposa. Enroute to New Zealand they stopped first at Papeete, Tahiti. In New Zealand they traveled inland to Waitomo and visited the stalactite caves that are famous because they are lighted by many thous ands of glowworms. The ship docked at Wool loomooloo Bay, Sidney, Aus tralia, where they stayed for several days. While there Miss Eicher did sight-seeing in the city and traveled into the "bush" country. She reported being in Sidney during a storm that poured twelve inches of rain on the city in less than 24 hours.. Mr. Barnes, who had had been an insurance adjust er for about 40 years, retired from business that day. The party was given for Mr. and Mrs. Barries by J. P. Tobin and company. About 85 attended the event, most of the guests be ing friends from the insurance group in this area. . Mr. and Mrs. Barnes will continue to make their home in Medford but plan to spend much of their time in Arizona, where they have friends and relatives. skirt and white gloves. The 40-voice choir had been rehearsing weekly since last fall for the concert In addition to, choir selec tions several members were featured in some of the songs.
