v- Judges at the Mardi Gras ball given by Tudor guild February 15 chose three costumes as the most outstanding. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Harlan P. Bosworth Jr., Medford, for her pink and silver sari; Mrs. B. A. Cope, Ashland, who wore a Japanese costume and covered her blonde hair with an elaborate black wig, and Dr. Glenn M. Revel, Ashland, dressed as a hill billy. The winners received their prizes from Richard Graham, Ashland, Shakespearean actor who wore a black and red costume with a satanic mask contrived with gold sequins attached to his face. ; . ' . . Six Medford Kiwariiari.s swho make up an orchestra called The Three Pears will play between the first and second acts of the annual Kiwanis Kapers, to be staged in four performances February 26 through March i at Medford High school. The musicians are (left to right) Robert Church, local weatherman and bass player; Dr. Milo Kubalek, dentist and drummer; Dr. Edward Sickels, physician and surgeon who plays piano; Jack Walker, trailer salesman at ' the banjo; I. A. Mirick, music instructor who plays trumpet, and Ray Johnson, radio station manager and Saxophonist. Seven Medford High school girls are rehearsing an act for a Kiwanis Kapers scene based on a sports magazine.
