I Beta Sigma Phi sorority held the annua! valentine dance February 8 at Rogue Valley Country club, and Mrs. Bob Norrii (at left) was chosen Valentine Girl from five candidates nominated by each chapter. The representatives and their chapters were Mrs. Norris, Alpha Rho; Mrs. Richard Brannon, Phi Kappa; Mrs. Wayne Harris, Beta Upsilon; Mrs. Irving Thompson, Alpha Beta, and Mrs. Treavell M. Turpin, Xi Mu. Mrs. Norris received a small coronet for her hair and a wrist bouquet of carnations. The members of her cpurt were given headdresses of carnations and ribbons. Mrs. John L. Holmes was chairman of the formal event, attended by 55 couples. Medford Elks lodge Is holding a series of weekly bridge nights at the temple each Tuesday evening, with Dr. James Bayliss, James Morgan and Jack Harris making up the comrriittee in charge. The series is proving popular, with bridge games described as "the friendly type." From left are Director D'Arcy, Dr. Edward Sickels, Dr. Abner Clark, Dr. Billy Blackstone, Edward Barnett and Jack Walker. The routine will be in the second act, "Telecast Revue." The production, "Krazy Kapers of 1958," will be presented on February 26, 27 and 28 and March 1 at the senior high school auditorium. King and queen of the onnuat Sweethearts' ball of Talent High school this year were Miss Christina Knudsen and Karlos (Buzz) Heard. Pretty Miss Knudsen is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Newcomb, and the king is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Heard, all of Talent. The king and queen are chosen by popular vote of theirv classmates, and this year by chance were partners for the ball. Chamberlain and daughter, Lee Ann, will both model in the valentine style show to be given by Reames Social club Wednesday, February 19, in the Masonic temple. Mrs. .Chamberlain wears a fashionable navy blue chemise dress designed with unbelted pleated back and slightly fitted front with accents of white, one of the frocks she will model in the show. Lee Ann wears a white sun dress topped with i navy blue jacket with- sailor collar. Mann's Department store is staging the show for- ths club. I
