In the few months since the staff of the centennial ex position has actually been formed in offices in the Jack son Tower in Portland more than 400 volunteer committee members have been organized into key committees from such fields as tourist promo tion, publicity, promotion, foreign trade, retail trade, de sign and decoration, church, historical, etc. In addition, a 15-member statewide advisory group. each representing specific sections of Oregon and each in charge of separate groups of 10 or more members from their own areas, has been, organized. Brandenthaler said the cen tennial celebrations give Ore gon an opportunity to focus attentions on the resources and opportunities present in the state. The centennial chairman indicated tlfat 1959 will see more people coming to Oregon than ever before jn history.
