Mrs. Fay Snider, guardian, in-1 silled Mrs. Leona Weingart as j guardian of hospitality, and Mrs. Marie White as guardian of pub licity. Honored Queen Linda Deaton presided. Escorted to the east were Lester Basham, worshipful master of Belt lodge, and Henry Lloyd, past associate guardian of the bethel. Mrs. Edith Sowell, director of ethics, explained the point sys tem. At the end of each term, girls who have earned the most points will receive awards. Public installation is set for 8 p.m., January 6, at the Masonic hall. A reading was given by Li brarian Linda Hunter. After the business meeting, girls gathered around the lighted Christmas tree for a gift ex change and social time. Refreshments were served by Queen - Elect Carolyn, Anita White and their mothers, and Mrs. Weingart. Tables were decorated with the Nativity scene. Christmas candles, miniature Santa Claus es, gumdrop trees, and sprigs of mistletoe. Shriver. min ister of First Presbyterian church, officiated at the double ring ceremony which took place at 6 o'clock at the Carson City chapel. Mrs. Dwane Graves, sister of the bridegroom, attended the bride. Mr. Graves served as best man. ( The bride has lived in Central Point all her life, attending both elementary and high school here. The bridegroom graduated from Crater High school and is now employed at the W. H. Daugher ty Lumber Manufacturing com pany at Camp White. On the evening of December 10, a wedding reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Britton. After the bride cut the first piece of wedding cake, Miss Pat Allan completed the cutting. Mrs. John Pinkham pre sided at the punch bowl. Miss Janice Linker, sister of the bridegroom, was in charge of the guest book. Thirty guests attended the re ception. Iris Lee Muse Is Married to Kenneth Dailey Central Point Miss Iris Lee Muse became the bride of Ken neth Dailey in a double ring wedding ceremony held Satur day, December 14, at the home of the bride's uncle, Robert Do zier, Ashland. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Marjorie Head, Route 2, Box 6917, Central Point, and Al Muse, Trail. Mr. Dailey is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Dailey, Garfield street, Ashland. The Rev. B. J. Holland, of the Ashland First Presbyterian church officiated at the two o'clock afternoon ceremony at tended by 20 relatives and friends. Baskets of pastel col ored flowers, white tapers and ferns decorated the mantle for the wedding. The bride wore a white lace over white satin frock fashioned with gathered skirt. She wore white flowers in her hair and a pink gardenia corsage. Mrs. Roy Wilse attended" the bride and Charles Dailey, grand father of the bridegroom, served as best man. Following the wedding a re ception was held. The bride attended Crater High school. The bridegroom is a graduate of Ashland High school and is employed by Pruitt Logging company. The couple will make their home on Sixth street in Ashland. C. Lindgren, 34 North Peach street, became the bride of David Eugene Haraden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth E. Haraden. Hood River, in a ceremony held Saturday, November 30, at the Medford Seventh-day Adventist church. Elder John Trude officiated at the eight o'clock evening ceremony attended by 200 rela tives and friends. Miss Beverly Fjarli played the organ wedding music and accompanied Miss Sibyl Mustard, Kelso, and Gene Shafer, soloists. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a waltz length white satin dress with lace and tulle overskirt and lace yoke. Her veil was fingertip length and she carried a bou quet of white carnations encir cling a purple orchid. Mrs. Jarold Christensen, Col lege Place, Wash., was honor attendant for her sister. Other attendants were Miss Sharon Dopkins, Miss Virginia Grab, Miss Carol Johnson, both Col lege Place, and Miss Aura Lind gren, another sister of the bride. They wore afternoon length frocks of taffeta and carried bou quets of chrysanthemums. Mrs. Christensen wore blue while the other attendant's dresses were cedar. Candlelighters were Miss Ruth Walker, Talent, Miss Beverly Paulson, Ashland, and Larry Haraden, Hood River, brother of the bridegroom. Kevin Burrill, Prospect, was Bible bearer and little Coleen Yost was flower girl. Jerry Bromlett, Battle Ground, Wash., served as best man while Jarold Christensen, Gene Shaf er, Battle Ground, Ken Mont gomery, White Salmon, Wash., and Russell Johnson, Cedar Creek, Wash., seated the guests. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Lindgren wore a navy blue suit with pink accessories. Mrs. Haraden wore a navy blue knit suit. They both had pink carna tion corsages. The bride attended Columbia Academy, Battle Ground, Wash. The bridegroom also attended Columbia Academy and is em ployed by the Medford Janitori al Service. The couple are mak ing their home at Shirleen Trailer Park. 4 Airs. William Nayhr Has Christmas Party For Mothers' Group Mrs. William Naylor was host ess Thursday afternoon at her home in Grant Acres to mem bers of the Medford Blue Star Mothers, for a Christmas party. Following dessert, the presi dent, Mrs. James Cech, conduct ed a short business meeting. Plans for the monthly party to be sponsored at Camp White domiciliary for wheel chair vet erans were made. Mrs. Rosa Heinbach Lack, re cently a Blue Star member from Winston-Dillard. was a guest of Mrs. Fred Middlebusher. A gift exchange and social hour were enjoyed. Streets Sunday, December 22, 1957 Christmas Party Given for Unit At Auditorium Medford Home Extension unit i held the annual Christmas party Wednesday in the courthouse auditorium. Thirty-five members enjoyed a turkey dinner served at noon on tables colorful with handmade Christmas decora tions. Chairmen of the dinner committee were Mrs. William Naylor and Mrs. Claude Payton, assisted by a committee. A business meeting followed the dinner, conducted by presi dent, Mrs. Delores Armstrong. Guests for the event were Mrs. Richard Garrett, Mrs. Edith Glour and Mrs. William G. Troup. The health and safety chair man, Mrs. Edith Daugherty, gave "dos and don'ts" for safety meas ures around the home. Mrs. Leland Knox read an in formative article on the benefits of using frozen food and of their general popularity over the en tire country. Mrs. D. K. Varner and several other members who had attended the recent opening of the new Medford Juvenile De tention home, gave their impres sions of it. Mrs. Leitha Trefrean led further discussion on the money raising project which is being sponsored by the Commun ity Club Awards and KWIN which is to take effect in Janu ary. A general discussion was held on the making of Christmas decorations, table centerpieces, swags and candle making. Mem bers exchanged their favorite holiday recipes. Hand made articles were ex changed as gifts and singing of Christmas carols rounded out the party. The next meeting of the unit will be held Wednesday, Janu ary 8, at 10:30 a.m. in the court house auditorium, with Mrs. Wil liam Naylor and Mrs. C. C. Far ris, project demonstrators for 'Consumer Buying of Foods." The luncheon committee for the January meeting will be Mrs. Robert Hunter, Mrs. Hobert Dits worth, Mrs.- Carie Milnes and Mrs. Fred Middlebusher. Business Women Hold Annual Party Medford Business and Pro fessional Women held their Christmas party Thursday even ing at the Girls Community club. Mrs. Bernice Kunzman pre sented Miss Jeanette Vermeulen, who arrived in Medford in Feb ruary with her family from the Netherlands. Miss Vermeulen gave two dances of her native country, Indonesia. One dance was performed with lighted candles. Mrs. Edith Baker gave a read ing and the group sang Christ mas carols prior to a gift ex change. Visiting members from the Ashland club were Mrs. Marjorie Petersen, president: Mrs. Esther Swift, Mrs. Mary Andrews, and Mrs. Ruth Esther Hill. Committee chairmen in charge of the meeting were Miss Grace Stuhr, finance, and Mrs. Edith Baker, public affairs.
