(IP) AFL-CIO President George Meany said there would be "no deals" with labor leaders ac cused of corruption charges. Meany ruled out any last minute efforts Jto stave off ex pulsion of - the teamsters and three smaller unions charged with corrupt leadership. In a keynote address to the opening session of the AFL-CIO convention, Meany referred to newspaper accounts that said he was willing to reach a com promise on the teamsters' ex pulsion. "There are no deals," Meany said to the 1,200 delegates. "We are not going to compromise on this evil or any other evil." The number of working wom en has risen nearly one million annually during the past five years, with women now making up one-third the nation's work ing force.
