He guards it with his life. He re fuses to share it. The treasure is his, and he strives to keep it solely his own. Because it is valuable, he is possessive. It is easy to be . indifferent about items of little or no value. When a man is open-minded with a so-called treasure, the world assumes and often rightly that the treasure is not valuable. It is not worth being possessive over! It is im possible for two people in love to be indifferent to each other's behavior. When a spouse urges his partner to go out often and stay long, there is apt to be some thing wrong in the relationship. He may be attempting to cover up his own behavior, past or present, or he may be building up credit for future patterns of his own. He may be frankly, bored ith the little woman and wish to retreat into a man's world of his own. Or he may be indifferent and actually feel that his treasure is no longer valu able at least, to him. A man truly in love is a posses sive man. A woman happily mar ried is a possessive wife. It is normal to" be possessive over something you love. Notice, I said possessive, not dominating. Domination denotes attempt at complete control, subjugating one will to another. A wisely possessive mate is one who cares about the welfare of another, who treasures his or her partner and wishes to keep the marriage sacred to its unity. This caring is both right and good! Turkey should not be stuffed until it's ready to go into the oven, according to an Oregon State college home economist. Mix the dry ingredients for the stuffing the day before, add the liquid just before the bird is stuffed. Appearance of commercially frozen stuffed turkey on the mar gets has caused some home makers to mistakenly believe they can freeze stuffed turkeys at home, reports Mrs. Ruth Klippstein, OSC's extension nu tritionist. Home freezing condi tions, however, cannot duplicate low freezing temperatures that' commercial packers use, she says. It takes too long to get the temperature of a stuffed bird low enough to safely inhibit bac terial growth under home condi tions. Food poisoning may re sult. Mrs. Klippstein 1 also advises cooks not to prepare and freeze dressing a week ahead. Off-flavors develop and the bread gets soggy at zero degrees. Central Central Point A mid-November ceremony at First Baptist church, Medford, wedded Miss Joyce Ann Hobbs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hobbs, Cen tral Point, to Dennis Melvin Burns, son of Mr. and Mrs. John . Burns, also Central Point residents. The Rev. James Neely performed the marriage rites, held November 14 at 8 o'clock in the evening. Mr. Hobbs gave his daughter in marriage. The bride wore a ballerina length gown of white Chantilly Honor Fraternity Holds Initiation Ashland Thirteen neophytes were initiated into Theta Delta Phi Wednesday evening in the Carpenter conference room in Britt Student center at Southern Oregon college, according to Robert Semon, president of the men's honor fraternity from Medford. Initiated were Gerald Barnes, Grants Pass; James Ochs, Klam ath Falls; Lawrence Mullarkey, Glendale; Earl Weinhold, Tal ent; Kenneth Brew, Robert De Voe, William Welch, Floyd Pawlowski, Medford; James Flora, Marion Jack, Dennis Loh man, Montague Robertson, Ar thur Schmidt, Ashland. Following the formal 'initia tion in the Carpenter room, members met at the home of Dr. Wayne W. Wells, professor emeritus, for a ham dinner. Fac ulty advisers, Dr. Arthur Tay lor, Dr. Bill Sampson, Dr. Elliot McCracken, Ted Schopf, and Dr. Wells, hosted the dinner. Dr. Taylor presented a brief history of Theta Delta Phi. Dr. Elmo Stevenson, as a guest, commended the TDP members for their scholarship and urged them to continue in their pres ent active role on campus.- A film shown by Dr. Wells and narrated by Dr. Sampson con cluded the evening entertain lace and pleated net over taffeta and carried a white orchid en circled with stephanotis on a Bible. Her finger-tip length veil was held by a crown of pearl trimmed lace. Miss Anise Hobbs was her sister's honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Miss Janet Hobbs, another sister, and Miss Sharon Lilly. The honor attend-' ant wore a frock of lime green inylon net, Miss Janet Hobbs wore a pale pink taffeta gown and Miss Lilly's frock was of pale yellow taffeta. They wore matching head bands and their bouquets were of white pompon chrysanthemums. Donna Sullivan and Beverly Sullivan, nieces of the bride, lighted the candles. Robert King was best man for Mr. Burns and Vern Parent and Jack Burns were ushers. i Arrangements of white chry santhemums decorated the church. Miss Ruth Brewster played the wedding music, and Miss Sylvia Yell was soloist. The reception followed in the church parlor. Pink and white chrysanthemums and white can dles were arranged on the bride's table. Mrs. Ray Dahl cut the wedding cake and Mrs. Ira Brock poured. Miss Lona Bishop took charge of the guest book. Mr. Burns and his bride spent their honeymoon in San Fran cisco, the bride wearing a grey suit with pink accessories for traveling. They are at home at 21516 Haven street, Medford.
