Brown, the linebusting full back for the Cleveland Browns, took over first place in individual rushing in the National Foot ball league with a 68-yard per formance ag a i n s t Washington last Sunday. Brown totaled 532 yards in 130 carries to bump Tommy Wil son of Los Angeles out of the first place spot he held for five weeks. Wilson was seven yards behind Brown, with Hugh McElhenny 467 of the 49ers, Rick Casares 456 of the Chicago Bears and Ollie Matson 436 of the Chicago Cards following. O'Connell in Front Tommy -O'Connell of Cleve land, passed for 324 yards against the Redskins to hold fir-st place in passing with Eddie LeBaron of Washington, the early sea son leader, second. Lou Groza, who kicked three field goals in a single game for the 11 th time in his career, and whose third last Sunday with 13 second left, salvaged a tie for the Browns in their Redskins meet ing, became the third Brownie to jump into the statistic high spots. Tittle of San Francisco threw 11 touchdown passes. Billy Wilson of San Francisco, defending champion in pass re ceptions, made hay while Jack McClairen of Pittsburgh was idle last weekend. The eight passes snared by the Forthy-Niner put him in front of the Steeler with 32 recptions. McClairen has 31, but has one game more to play than Wilson. Jim Doran 30 leads in yardage with 586 and Mutsch eller in touchdowns with eight. Local Telecast Of UO-OSC Tiff Not Confirmed Third Annua! Turkey Run This Sunday Third annual Turkey Run in the Rogue valley for motorcy clists will be held on Sunday, Nov. 24. The event from the Big Y at Grants Pass at 11 a.m. and will be a point system cross country endurance run. It will be open to riders in all motorcycle and motor scooter classes and will be held regardless of weather conditions. Jack White of White's Cycle shop here started the event in 1955. Rogue Valley Riders Motor Cycle club is taking over spon sorship this year. White report ed strong merchant suport for the 1957 run. He said that three turkeys, instead of the usual one, will be prizes. Invitations have been sent to cyclists in northern and central California and elsewhere in Ore gon.
